"Unusual property, perfect location next to Marwell zoo. Staff very attentive & helpful, especially the receptionist who checked us in. Swimming pool area a little dated, with dangerously slippery floor. Used restaurant for evening meal, food overpriced for what we had, also hot offerings at breakfast were cold"

"Nice place, but no lifts. For older people, it can be very difficult to carry luggage upstairs. They will store it for you if you don’t really have to have it during your stay. Tubs are a little difficult for those with mobility issues. Otherwise, a nice place."

"A wonderful stay all employees were extremely helpful. We stayed before our cruise for one night and received so much help and suggestions from the staff. We will definitely stay again. If you’re looking to book a hotel for before or after a cruise, this hotel will not disappoint.!"

"Interesting older hotel. Fire doors every 4-5 rooms. Lots of stairs. There is an old rickety elevator if you are on floor 2 or higher. Bed is a ok, but could use a cushioned mattress pad. Ok for an overnight stay before a cruise, but I wouldn't want to stay longer than that! There are a lot of restaurants and eateries close by."

"Great breakfast. Easy to park my work van and then cycle to the beach from here. Will be back. "

"Room and spa facilities were excellent. Food in the restaurant was very good although the service left a lot to be desired. Bar staff didn’t know what brandy was when asked. All other staff competent and very helpful."

"Over all a good trip. For what I paid my accommodation was adequate. A very good price. I bought the money in an envelope to give to them personally. But no one to give the money to. It is fine I have the money with me. I will have to put in to my bank account on Tuesday then I will phone to pay for my stay. I would stay again "
