Lakefront fun for 14+pets w/game room deck sunsets

"This is a great location to spend a long weekend! The view is beautiful and sitting outside on the patio, porch, or deck were all enjoyable. The picture windows on the rear of the house also provided a lovely view from the living room. The kitchen is well stocked with the cooking/baking essentials, which made meal prep a breeze. There are several grocery-type stores and a Walmart within 20-35 mins; several convenience stores even closer. The extra-large round dining table really encouraged conversation and made playing games as a large family more fun!They aren't kidding about the hike down to the water and back counting as your exercise for the day. It is a steep rock/dirt path and there are no real stairs, but part of it has a railing (my hamstrings and glutes were screaming!!!) There is water access, but no beach. It was fine for kayaking, floating around on rafts, and swimming; the young adults in our group spent most of the day in the water. Unfortunately, there are no jet-ski rentals on Lake Whitney, but there is boat rental (). A note for the host, please invest in new mattresses as they all sag in the middle and concrete blocks under the center of the bed doesn't help. Otherwise, it is a great location to be at the lake!"

"The motel itself is quite old. The staff was very kind, but did not seem organized. The bathroom was very small and old. The towels were old as well, so I used towels I brought personally."

"I sent the owners a pic of the ants that came out at night and were crawling in and around the toilet. They might need to caulk around the toilet AND the baseboards. That was an unpleasant sight at 2 a.m.!! I also texted themthat a funky odor comes from the bedroom window AC at times. Other than that, the house was spotless and a wonderfulRetreat."

"I love this little collection of cabins for little get aways from our every day life they have here. This was just what we needed to relax and recharge. Everything was very accommodating and very cozy. Will definitely use again in the future when we come back to see Lake Whitney."
