Smuggler's Cove Inn

"Our stay was off the charts wonderful. We paid extra for a room right off the water and it did not disappoint. The private decks and furniture were inviting and comfortable. The hotel is located on the quieter side of the harbor. The staff was both friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet that was included with the room. While we didn’t use the heated pool or the kayaks it was nice to have them available. No question about it, we will stay there again on our next trip to Boothbay Harbor."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Topside Inn. Overall it was a great experience with one caveat. The property itself is in a really great location and provides stunning views. The staff was attentive and the breakfast spread was really good. The carrot cake pancakes may have been the best pancakes I’ve ever had! The only issue we encountered was the room definitely had a damp smell to it right when we got there. We got used to it but it did take a bit away from our stay."

"Great waterfront property with wonderful amenities. Kids loved the pool and boats. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. On site restaurant was very good and reasonably priced compared with other restaurants in the area. Room was made up when we arrived, but floors and baseboards were both dusty/dirty. The shower curtain and liner were gross and clearly hadn’t been replaced or cleaned in a while. Not deal breakers and everything else was clean - will definitely come back again."

"We stayed there as a last minute added night on our Maine trip late August. The location and views were amazing and Jersey is a hoot. He gives the orientation tour at check in and is very accommodating. The space is beautiful and our room was comfortable and spotless. We liked the community kitchen concept and would appreciate that next time if we stayed more to an a night. I would highly recommend this Inn and its sister property. Very relaxing vibes."
