Mt Madison Inn & Suites

"We had two excellent stays this September. The rooms have been recently renovated and were clean and pretty large for the price. Even more surprising (and if you travel you know what I mean) the air-conditioning was really cool and really quite and beds were comfortable. The most important part: The lady that manages the office, Nancy, is the Best I have seen in that job. My wife and I have travelled in 42 states (until now) and we have stayed in every kind of hotel and motel you can imagine. Nancy is the most helpful and responsive motel manager we have met. And always with a smile. I know - that should be the norm. But it's very, very rare nowadays. So, cudos to you Nancy, and I hope the onwers know how lucky they are. You give their property a good name for hospitality. We'll stay again. No question about it."

"This was such a great place to stay. Beautiful views, clean and comfortable rooms. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinners which were all fantastic. No complaints."

"Really enjoyed this place. Room was comfortable, staff was friendly, and was in a great area of town with everything you need nearby. The only thing I didn't like was the checkout time, which was an hour earlier than any other place I can remember staying in the last couple of decades. I happened to have really needed that hour that day. Other than that, it was great."

"Classic Grand Hotel from a bygone age. Great location and views. Good for a short stay but not so much if you would like to stream your favorite shows; unfortunately the internet connection is from a bygone era too running at 15 mbps or less and dropping frequently in the busy evening hours. Other than the tech this is worth a look though."

"The hotel room was mostly clean. The shower curtain needed a washing and the back of the bathroom door could have used a wipedown. Other than those two things, the room was great. We stayed in room 16 and the rooms may vary, but the bathroom was very small. It was narrow and the bathroom door has to be closed to get to the toilet. A larger person would have problems in this bathroom. This is not a complaint, it's just allowing someone to know before paying for a room."
Beacon Inn and Suites

"4.8 stars would definitely stay here again as a solo female traveler. Everything was as expected. Front desk staff were very helpful. I checked in at 8:45pm on a Friday night so I was very appreciative of them being there to assist me. Parking was conveniently located by my room. As a single female traveling for work and staying alone I felt totally safe. I got a little turned around in the parking lot (I was tired) and a gentleman I assumed was the owner helped to point me in the right direction. The Outdoor pool was under construction (it’s October and 50’s so no one would be using it now anyway) so that will probably be amazing next spring/ summer. Bed was comfortable (firm but not too firm) and room was clean. Only negative was there was a small stain on the rug under the air conditioner from it, but honestly I didn’t care. I was happy for a clean room and clean shower/ tub and a safe place to sleep for the night. Will definitely stay here again if the need arises."
