Isolation of location allows for concentrated family togetherness!
Nice sized lodge for family gathering. Plenty of room, great sitting area on front porch. Nicely planted flower beds around lodge, attracted hummingbirds and butterflies. Only the most basic amenities provided. I definitely would recommend using a 4-wheel drive to access the property. Any vehicle low to the ground could bottom out.

Bad experienced.
The property was filled with bed bugs. I only stayed for 16hrs and the property. My kids got bit up by bugs. The roads was dangerous and muddy. IT was one tv in the house so kids wasn’t occupied. Spider webs everywhere with insects trapped inside. No nearby stores or gas stations. No phone service

Remote and quiet
It's a nice house, located a 10-15 minute drive from the small town of Whitetop. The gravel road might test your nerves at first, but you'll get used to it after a few times. Like most VRBOs, the equipment is sorta second-hand. For instance, we couldn't find a big pot for our jambalaya. We enjoyed our stay, and were happy that we could get the house at the last minute.
