"I'll get the small amount of negative comments out of the at first.....the road into the the property is treacherous, especially because it was raining when we arrived. Very steep, narrow turns and tight roads. I understand that people that live in the area, like the cleaners, are used to the mountain roads, but coming from the lower part of the state, it was eye opening. According to the instruction email I received, they recently expanded the drive to allow more parking near the house. That was very nice. The house was very clean and well maintained. Once we walked into the house and saw the lake from the back porch, we completely forgot about the driveway. The view is amazing. The lot gently slopes to the lake. The dock was perfect for our 3 jet skis. We kept our truck and trailer at the state park and drove the skis across the water. It's 5-10 minutes from the state park. The house is an older log cabin that has been updated nicely. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen has everything you need if you choose to. The back porch was amazing, we spent a lot of time just sitting looking at the lake. The next time we stay here, and we will, we will bring our boat and load everything we need on it and boat to the house. If you can do that, then the driveway doesn't matter at all."

"This year was very special (my birthday and our 70th wedding anniversary). We have stayed in several places in the Sapphire area, but the view there was the most spectacular of all our stays there. I cannot imagine that view during the fall season. The unit is very comfortable in size and furnishings. The entrance would have been a bit of a challenge for me (my 88th birthday) but we had our kids there that took care of all the driving."

"We had a great stay at the Lookout Cabin. It was my father’s 80’s birthday and we had 16 adults. The master suite on the first floor was perfect for him, since he had difficulty with stairs. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the hot tub, fire gas fire pit on porch and the great view on the expansive porches. No real issues with the property. Was relatively remote, but we hung out at the house most of the time. Close to Gorge’s State Park, great hiking/beautiful waterfalls. Improvements that could be made: One of the beds downstairs was very hard and the pullout bed area too loud for sleeping. My family wants to make it a yearly tradition. Thank you!"

"We really liked the location, Native-Indian themes all around the house. Kids enjoyed skiing, only 10 minutes from the cabin. We would definitely stay again."
