Our week on the lake was just what we needed. Coffee on the deck, then walk to the water and float, kayak the day away! Short ride to Mt. Snow for golf or biking. Wilmington is also close by for shopping, brewery and food.
Beautiful views from all the windows, quiet, private, clean and comfortable! Well worth a three day stay in October with all the leaves changing colors. Kayaks provided were so appreciated, allowing us to paddle around the whole lake and enjoy the colors and views even more. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were ideal for my elderly mother. Great towns within easy drive, lots to explore!
Over all we loved this cabin. The outdoor spaces are wonderful. Dusk setting over the lake while sitting on deck with a drink was as close to perfection as you can get. We enjoyed kayaking around the lake. Very peaceful. The cabin is large. We used the fireplace every night. The only knock is the bugs and cobwebs in the high spaces.
This was by far the best family get away my family has had. House was more than perfect for our family of 4. Easy dock access for our boat. Endless fun in the water and nearby reservoir. Not only did Mother Nature give us the BEST WEATHER IMAGINABLE, the views were second to none. Convenient shopping within 15 min if we needed anything. Owners were great with communication. We had an incredible time! Would recommend this place to anyone!!!!
This home was gorgeous with an amazing view of the Lake Sadagwa. The main living area was open, bright and airy. We were 8 adults (4 seniors) who had plenty of space and many in the kitchen at the same time. We appreciated the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. This home had plenty of amenities and more features than were listed (3 kayaks, extra bed etc). Eva, our host was very prompt in communication and accommodating. We used her suggestions and shopped at the Shaws in Wilmington. Dinner at the Anchor and brunch at the White House Inn were memorable!
We loved the use of the deck and access to the lake. Views of the night sky from the deck were incredible and we enjoyed exploring the lake marsh and the Bald eagle, herons and other wildlife. We would absolutely return here!
My family(my wife and 2 adult children) spent 5 perfect days there in August. We had a great time.
Directions and check in/out process were straightforward and easy.
Owner was very responsive and accommodating.
The house is located on a large beautiful lakefront property with breathtaking view of the lake.
Excellent aluminum dock is great for boating, fishing or swimming.
The house itself is very clean with open space floor plan and well stocked kitchen, furniture is fairly modern and bedding is comfortable, fireplace and propane grill work great. At the same time the house is old, and kitchen cabinets/appliances and bathroom fixtures show its age, however, everything is in good working order.
Few minor issues with the house that were not a problem for us: no soundproofing between the floors, steep staircase with small steps leading to the second floor may be a challenge for people with mobility issues.
The lake is fairly small but quite and not built out much.
Fishing was great.
The neighbor let us use his pontoon boat and that was a cherry on the cake.
Again, we loved the house and hope to come back one day.
The house was nice and worked for our family. We were able to fish, kayak and swim. There was plenty of outdoor space to play games and spread out. There were plenty of outdoor chairs to use and beach towels as well. The kitchen was very well appointed with dishes and all the utensils that we needed.
I was disappointed with the cleanliness. The kitchen sink was ceramic and was very stained and dirty. I cleaned it and it came out very well. The other item that should have been looked at before we arrived was the grill. It was filthy. I would not have been able to cook any of our food on it without first cleaning it thoroughly. This was particularly disappointing because we were charged a significant cleaning fee. It seems like the cleaners are not doing a very good job.
There should be someplace that we could collect our trash & recycling. There were no bags or outside trash cans available for us to use. We obtained some bags and used them. We left them in the hallway by the door so they could be taken out by the cleaners.
We loved the cabin - three old college buddies, each with a comfortable bedroom on a different floor and a great space to hang out in the middle with a huge deck and a great view. Kitchen was fully equipped, the kayaking on the pond was wonderful, nice quiet location.
What a great, private, spacey place in Southern VT. Fantastic social area on the first floor…..big, natural fireplace and plenty of seating for 8-10 people. Very clean with ALL the amenities you would need. Filtered water too ! Would book again for sure. Thanks Eva !
Had such a great fall weekend with the family! We did an early Thanksgiving and there was plenty of space and materials in the kitchen. Took the kayaks out multiple times, played frisbee in the yard, carved pumpkins on the porch. Such a great stay!
Great location with beautiful views. Property was clean. Beds were comfortable. Quiet, private. Exactly what we wanted. Almost don't want to leave this review cuz I want to keep this gem just for ourselves
We had an amazing stay! The place is really warm and comfortable, really clean and no smell. We’ve been to many cabins, but this one is by far the best!
As advertised, if you’re looking for getting away from the hustle and the bustle, but still only about 15 mins away from the charming little downtown of Wilmington, you’ll enjoy this place.
Due to severe flooding in Central Vermont, we had to cancel our rental in Ludlow and find something else in a matter of days. This rental met our needs for lake access and privacy. We enjoyed the location and the lake very much.
Check in some problem with codes. Kitchen was well stocked. Stove and sink not too clean. Linens and towels in abundance. Wi-Fi access was great. Need a car. Little within walking distance. Quiet. Amazing July 4th activities. Grounds well cared for, butlots of geese. Hornets a problem .
Had a great ski weekend with our extended family. The cabin was homey and clean with a great layout. Perfect location for a long weekend with my sister's family. We skied at Mt. Snow three days. The ride was an easy 25 minutes. Plenty of options for take out, groceries in Wilmington 10-15 min away. The location was great- we'd love to come back and see the lake in the summer!
The house and the location were perfect four our group of five adults. The open layout (kitchen, dining area and living room) with a loft above made for a comfortable setting. The kitchen was well-stocked with kitchen tools, pots, pans and dishes. We appreciated the availability of the dock as we all took kayak excursions on Sadawga Lake. One evening after a short rain we were treated to the sight of a large rainbow in the eastern sky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lakefront House.
House was well equipped, nice bedding and towels comfortable beds. Lake is fun to paddle and fish.perfect location of the fire pit. Quiet location yet easy to get around southern Vermont
