Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Townend Cottage provides a beautifully presented and spacious cottage with a garden room/dining room overlooking the enclosed garden. Sit and enjoy the sunshine whilst having breakfast, and for those colder nights, cosy up by the wood burner in the comfortable living room - the best of both worlds. The property is decorated with a Christmas theme during the festive season.

Quietly situated in this small farming village of Wiggonby, this semi-detached house is within easy reach of both Wigton and Carlisle, making it an ideal base to relax in or visit the many attractions nearby, with Watchtree nature reserve next to village. The Lake District National Park is within a 30-minute drive giving you access to the many fells for which the area is famous. If something more relaxing is what you are after, then why not take a boat trip on Derwentwater or Lake Windermere and sit back and enjoy the view? If you prefer the coastline, a 30-minute drive will take you to Allonby beach, a superb, long sandy beach in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Solway Coast, with spectacular views across the Solway Firth to the mountains of southern Scotland. The market towns of Cockermouth and Keswick are well worth a visit too! At Townend Cottage you will be spoilt for choice for what to do in the area. Beach 16½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
