"The site where the lodge is situated is small and was quiet this week. The view of the lake and surroundings is beautiful and it was so relaxing to sit on the benches that are dotted around and take it all in. Even though we hit 2 days of dreadful weather I was happy enough to stay in the lodge and read, watch tv, relax etc. It was easy enough to get to and from Keswick and, had it not been for the awful weather, I’d have explored further."

"We absolutely loved staying at Roger’s home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We hope to get back there again!"

"Really good cottage only about 2 mins walk from centre of Ambleside. Had everything you need for a nice simple stay in the lakes. Great views from the front room over the hills. They’ve just had a car parking space put in which is very handy. Great communication with owner throughout. Would definitely come back."

Also everything you need in the cupboards Garden area was great and a lot of the farm animals came to say hello Nice walks nearby and other lovely places to visit by car. "This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."

"Loved this cozy cottage in the perfect location Very clean on arrival & has 2 beautiful bedrooms with en suite which is an excellent bonus for sharing with friends or family .. showers were fantastic & lovely big bath too.. "Great location with amazing views over Ambleside and the hills. The balcony is a bonus in good weather. The walk into Ambleside is steep but short so you have easy access to all the town has to offer and walks into the fells without needing to drive. Use of the (small) pool and jacuzzi at Lakelands was a bonus and quiet the week we were there. House is well presented and furnished with plenty of storage, crockery/cutlery etc. The beginning of our week was very cold and even with the heating on...

"Lovely caravan which was very clean and dog friendly. Well stocked including bowls for doggy. Communication from the owners was excellent. They even sent us a list of dog friendly walks some with dog friendly pubs. Lovely dog friendly pub Mason Arms just across the road from the camp where they let doggy sit under the table whilst owners had a meal. It was a small caravan site which was quiet and well laid out just what we needed."
