"Booked 3 rooms for a family vacation. Checked in about 1 am. All 3 rooms had hair in the sheets and pillowcases. 2 rooms lights inop. Stains on sheets. 3rd room large fridge inop and stunk and shower curtain missing. Got moved to another room and a bottle cap was stuck in the sink and wouldn't drain, ac unit made a terrible noise when it turned off, 2nd bed felt like base was broken and sunk in the center and was terribly loud. Shower curtain was moldy. Stains on comforter. Unloaded into 1st room then switched to 2nd and it was about 2 am. Was too late and tired from driving and tried to sleep. Renovations also going on. The afternoon after check out while driving we had allergies really bad or something. I kept sneezing, my kids were sneezing, coughing and had eye gunk. I do not recommend this place. "

"The building need a lot of work, the showers needed to be replaced and the carpet smells bad mainly the hallways, elevator was wet my whole stayed, the isolation needs a lot of improvement, you can hear everybody walking, and using the shower it is so noisy. "

"I travel a lot in Amarillo is always my stopping point on my way to Arizona. I love staying at this hotel. It is priced appropriately, very clean, in a great location, the staff is always super sweet and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this specific Microtel property-it has to be one of the best in the country and I’m not lying. I’ve stated others, and they are not nearly as nice as this, and the staff is first class. I was up gone early in the morning on a Sunday before the breakfast was out and the overnight worker who I saw when I walked in was putting stuff out and had coffee made. I needed that coffee to get moving on my way and for a free hotel breakfast , the standard fare , this one is always good. Not stale or letting stuff sit there too long then it looks like crap. I mean if you want delicious go to waffle House… and I mean that too but solid place Love staying here. Big props to the workers. Pay them more and give them raises."
