The rooms were clean and there was a nice breakfast set-up. However, the first night the temperature was in the 30's/low 40's outside and the heat didn't work. Initially the desk person tried to convince us that 1) we hadn't turned the unit on, then 2) we hadn't let it run long enough for it to heat up. The unit was definitely broken--we left it on all night and slept with multiple layers of clothing since we were so tired. The next day we were able to move to another room. Once I returned home I called the hotel and asked for a refund for the first night. It's almost been a week and there has been no movement on my request. The desk person told me initially I couldn't get a refund because, after all, I slept in the room. When I became more insistent he told me he had to talk to the manager about a "discount". I reiterated I was looking for a full refund. He told me he would get back to me after he talked to the manager. I haven't heard from him since.

Travelers beware

This hotel’s description did not match with its reality. Low quality linens, flaking paint, soft ceilings as if wet, and very uncomfortable beds. We will not consider staying there again.

About what I expected

It was about what I expected for the price. The vinyl flooring appeared to be better newer, but the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. It was clean enough. The pros were location (a short drive to Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Water Country USA) and a mini fridge and microwave. We didn't use the outdoor pool, but it looked ok. The breakfast was average and almost all carbs (toast, bagels, cereal, waffles, bananas), but was what I would expect at that price point. The brick exterior makes it look a little nicer than your average low-budget hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised at how big, clean & comfortable this hotel was. The breakfast room was clean & was restocked with fresh food right up until the last minute. I would highly recommend this hotel in this price point!!!

The lighting for the walkway is extremely bright and we kept waking up thinking it was day time. The free breakfast was more of a free appetizer and you will need to buy a drink if your thirsty.

I was looking for a clean place that didn’t cost a fortune, to stay for a couple nights while we visited Busch Gardens and Jamestown. This motel was very clean, staff was friendly. Check and out was simple. We did not use the breakfast that was included so no idea on it. The pillow wasn’t great (but what motel pillow ever is) and the AC Unit was a little loud but the room was VERY clean and that’s what I cared about the most. Beds comfy. For the price, well worth it! We will plan to stay again in future trips!

We stay here 5-6 times each year. We are always greeted with a smile. It is ALWAYS clean, the beds are always comfortable, and the breakfast is always good. There is adequate parking; we have never had a problem finding a parking space close to our room. This time, we were on the back side of the building and there were a lot of smokers who smoked on the balcony near our room and the smell drifted in. It was the first time we had encountered this problem but it was easily corrected when we politely asked them to smoke in the designated smoking area. The WIFI speed is acceptable. The price is right for what we want/need - a place to sleep and eat breakfast each day. We will continue to stay here when we are in the Williamsburg area.

The reason i picked this hotel was for the location i was very disappointed regarding the check in. Nobody was at the front desk. i have to ask if anybody was there until someone shows up. The price was right, the room was very clean. My second complaint was became all the trowels are stained but clean. The person working at the front desk tried to ffind towels without stain on its. He couldn't. And the bed spread is too old. Overall you get what you pay for. I forgot to say that the continental breakfast was ok, fruits, cereal, waffles, muffins, coffee, etc.
