Our cottage is equipped with all the amenities you need to feel right at home, including a fully stocked kitchen, WiFi, and a TV for entertainment. And with so many outdoor activities just steps from your door, you`ll have no shortage of things to do. Hike the nearby trails, fish in the creek, or simply relax and take in the stunning views.

Just a few reminders:
1 - Pets allowed with permission, MAX 2 dogs, sorry NO cats.
2 - Absolutely NO Smoking of any kind
3 - Please do not move furniture
4 - Keep it clean. When you leave it should look the same as you entered, with the exception of bed linens and towels
5 - Remember it`s our home, so treat it with respect
6 - There is a pack n` play at the cabin in case you need it.
7 - The grill is propane.
8 - Bring your own wood (and marshmallows) for the firepit. Rules for firepit are posted next to firepit on the fence.

Piece of Heaven

Definitely a good stay. The ownership is super friendly, house older but a cute farmhouse country feel. Plenty of room and atmosphere unimaginable. Look forward to our next stay :)

My family stayed in this cozy farmhouse cottage for one night on our way from NC to Colorado. It was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and 2 pups.

Peaceful Stay at Buffalo Mountain Getaway

I can’t imagine a place more quiet and peaceful as the Buffalo Mountain Getaway. It’s very isolated location amongst the farms make this a special place . It’s very spacious inside the farm house so you have plenty of room for a family. Of course, the porch is the center piece of the house where many good conversations and memories are created .

Great little retreat

We had a great time...easy drive/directions...loved the brook on the property...was very serene. place had everything we could need...they had some cereal, milk and oj for us. Very cute cottage and for the space, had plenty of room for multiple people to stay/sleep. A bonus that my dogs (a first for us due to one being elderly) were able to come as well.

Very Relaxing Environment

We were four guys staying for one night. This place was quiet and clean. We made use of the bbq and kitchen. The scenery is really nice and the communication with the host was excellent. Sorry we didn’t turn on the dishwasher before we left.

Amazing weekend!

This charming cabin looks deceptively small from the outside but feels so spacious and welcoming upon entering! Everything was perfect for the five of us. Comfortable beds, good privacy, nice living room arrangements and television, fantastic front porch with a great view to sit around and talk as dusk fell. Two of our group went fishing in the pond and had a great time. We all loved the 'alarm clock' of the cows at 7am too! All in all, an amazing time and we will definitely be back!

This house was so cute. Spacious and the views were so good. Loved the cows roaming around. Big spacious kitchen. And close to everything we wanted to do.

Peaceful, Beautiful Retreat

We really enjoyed staying at this house. We had everything we needed on the main floor (two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom). We enjoyed the front porch and outside sitting area. Although it was in the middle of a cow farm, we found the scenery breathtaking. We didn't really didn't notice any overpowering odor or inconvenience from the cows. Hope to visit again!

Great location if you're looking for a quite, peaceful vacation.

Rented it as a 2 bathroom house and only had 1 bathroom due to plumbing issues. Disappointed about that with 4 adults and only 1 shower - had to take a number!

Our Annual Birthday Retreat

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful country side. We were greeted by a momma cow and her calf when we first arrived and our toddlers loved it! We spent the evenings around the fire pit and moved into the living room in the basement to play board games. We also loved sitting on the front porch in the morning. The steps made a perfect spot to take a family photo.

Camp drop off/ Anniversary

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary with a 2 night stay at Buffalo Cottage. This is our second visit to the cottage and found it just as clean and peaceful as last year. The wildlife was even more entertaining this year as its fawning season. This year we had plenty of time to go hike up Buffalo Mountain - the views are gorgeous and you can see this cottage from the top. Enjoyed watching the baling of the hay, farm cats and cattle with calves this visit as well. We'll be back! Thank you!

Men's Retreat

Four guys friends get together in a quiet location to catch up, relax, and disconnect from the outside world. The home and property are excellent and well worth the drive. If you are looking for a clean, well-kept, and quiet place to unwind and enjoy nature, this is it. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Book it now - you will be glad you did!

Absolutely lovely.

Mountain farm life

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is comfortably appointed, the views are beautiful, the property is fun and the owners are responsive and helpful. We enjoyed meeting the cows and having a wonderful relaxing time while still being close enough to the Floydfest location. Perfect!
