Freaking LOVED this place. It felt like staying in a bedroom instead of a big Fancy hotel. It felt more personal than any other out of town over night stay.. the whole environment, to me, was awesome. And the food downstairs!! I had an awesome steak, and too many sides, according to my wife, got jammed up,,,, and whenever the bill came out was less than 40 bucks. And me and my wife both ate! And it was absolutely delicious... I can't recommend this place enough, and we will be staying again! Without a doubt.

The General Denver is a charming and well maintained historical hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The adjoining restaurant is convenient and the food is great! Because this is a historical hotel, some of the rooms may be on the small side. If you are looking for something spacious, this may not be the place for you.

We had a suite for our stay and the rooms were freshly painted and the beds (which were very comfy) had crisp white linens. New white faux wood blinds on the windows made everything bright and enhanced our visit. It was a very comfortable and appealing "apartment"-like suite. This was our third stay with the GD and we will be back if we come out this way again.

This is an old hotel full of charm. The place was clean, cozy and the staff was fantastic. The room we had did not have a fridge but an ice bucket was provided. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. Parking was convenient as was the location.

It was a historic hotel. Loved the atmosphere and everyone was great. Had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. Then we walked across the street to the Murphy theatre for a great show.

We loved our stay at this hotel! It was much more spacious than we expected, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The decor was charming, and the bed was very comfortable—we slept so well. It’s a beautiful historic building and made for a wonderful stay.
