"For a variety of reasons, we had to delay any trip until a couple of days before the bank holiday. Additionally many places accepting pets restrict it to dogs and we have a house cat who we had to bring. Most areas had nothing left, for a short weekend break or prices were into the thousands. However we struck lucky in finding Doal's Farm. Owner Paul was fantastic in his speedy responses, confirming availability, acceptance of cats and fitting in with some personal restrictions we placed on...

"Spring Cottage was a great base for us while we were up in the area visiting friends. The cottage is cute and cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The Trawden Arms is a short walk away and does good food and there are loads of great walks in the area. The host, Alex was very friendly and helpful."

"We had a really enjoyable stay at Woodpecker Cottage. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and 60th anniversary, there was plenty of room for all 13 family members inside the property and we enjoyed the outside space using all the facilities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The bedrooms/bedding/towels all lovely and clean. We would recommend a stay at this property."

"A lovely cosy cottage with everything you need for a walking holiday. Plenty of info from the helpful owner who came around to explain things shortly after I arrived. A short walk to the station. Parking OK outside cottage as long as you have a relatively small car (larger cars can park further down the lane I think). All in all an excellent cottage."

"We had a wonderful family gathering for my fathers 85th birthday at this fantastic house. It completely delivered all it said in its profile. Comfy beds, lovely bedrooms, roomy lounge, well equipped kitchen and beautiful surroundings. The house was lovely and warm and very clean. We would definatley recommed and will return."
