Whimsical folk art fills the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park, where giant kinetic sculptures spin and twirl in the breeze. Stroll through historic downtown for local barbecue joints, the imaginative children's museum, and farmers markets selling sweet Carolina produce.
My husband and were very pleased with the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. While we were there, we received a few texts from someone at the hotel checking in on our stay and asking if we needed anything. Breakfast was great as well!

The hotel overall was was clean. Hand sanitizers were installed throughout the property including in both elevators. There was an associate who worked the front desk who wore glasses and has locs(apologies i forgot her name) but she was always helpful and showed great hospitality during our stay. My son even said as we were leaving that she deserves a raise because you can tell she enjoys her job.

This is a great property. The staff are fantastic. The room was bright and clean. Yes, the carpet is old, but it is clean, not covered with stains. Great water pressure in the shower. Location to restaurants is good. Traveling for business puts me on a budget and this fit perfect. I will always stay here when in the area.

This was an overnight stay on my way back to Maryland. Ideal location as it was a short distance off the Interstate. Check-in was fast. My room had to be switched because of a "ticking defrost" in the refrigerator. The switch was quick and just a short trip across the hall. I loved the set-up the room: 2 double beds with lots of lighting, desk with chair, TV and a highback chair in the corner. There was a refrigerator and microwave and chest for clothing. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of...
