"This home is fully furnished and lacks nothing. The beds are comfortable, linens and towels clean and not worn/frayed/stained. Kitchenware was in newer condition. The lake is a beautiful setting. Although it is in a wooded area, the property is sprayed early in season and was not an issue. GPS took us right to address. Amy was a terrific host. "We enjoyed our stay at the cabin--everything was very clean and well organized, with coffee and tea, all the utensils and pots one would need. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels. We especially enjoyed the fact that there was a fire pit--lovely for a warm evening. We were able to get back and forth to Colby College in 30 minutes and had dinner in Skowhegan."

"The house was perfect for so we could all get ready for a wedding nearby. Plenty of room for everyone and the owner even let us check in a few hours early so we could shower before an early rehearsal dinner. Will definitely be looking to stay again over the winter to go skiing!"

"Overall this was a very nice place. I would not call it a 3 bedroom though. It is a 2 bedroom with lofts. One of the 2 lofts is large like a bedroom, but the ladders to the lofts are straight up and difficult to climb. As long as you know before booking, you can decide if this will be a problem for your family."

"The view was amazing. The cabin tho was nothing like expected. It's currently being renovated, but the walls are nothing but installation, the flooring isn't finished at all. There is electricity and tv, but no water and the bathroom is not finished but there is a port a potty outside that is completely disgusting. "My partner and I stayed for a snowy weekend away and it was absolutely perfect! The pictures do not do the view nor the coziness of the cabin justice, we could not have asked for a better place to stay to unwind! The place was very clean with plenty of water, kitchen supplies, and wood provided with detailed instructions for use. As we went during the winter months the road up to the cabin can be a bit dicey, but with 4-wheel drive it was definitely manageable. Brenda was a very responsive host...

"We are a retired couple in our early 70's and have stayed at this cabin every year for the last 12 years. You can't beat the remote location and wonderful view. The cabin is straight out of an LL Bean ad, and about as close to the water as you can get. We normally come in spring and fall to kayak and enjoy the view from the awesome screen deck. Scott is a great host and always responds immediately."

"Peter and Jane are terrific hosts of a beautiful spot on the lake. We did all the things. We hiked Mt. Blue to the top. We peddled the boat out onto the lake. We watched the sunrise and sunset on the screened in porch. We made fires and roasted marshmallows. We had a terrifically beautiful family vacation at this perfect little cottage on the lake."
