Along with an outdoor tennis court, this smoke-free cabin has a seasonal outdoor pool and a children's pool. Free WiFi in public areas and free self parking are also provided. Additionally, an arcade/game room, a garden, and barbecue grills are onsite. All 16 cabins have 2 bedrooms and feature free WiFi. Even coming here since I was 9 years old— over 50 years now! Lots has changed— almost all for the better— but for the most part it remains a quiet secret family refuge, a cool place to splash and just kick back without being overwhelmed by noise and commercialism. I love it.

We really enjoyed staying here. They are conveniently located in town and have easy river access as well as fire pits on the property. Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Also dog friendly!

Great place to stay right on the river! Gorgeous views and lots to do nearby. I'm sure it gets very busy during the summer, but our stay was nice and quiet.

Nice Property

Everything was pretty nice. Parts of the property were under construction which made driving back a little interesting. I just didn't know everything was closed on the days we were there but for a weekend stay I think it would have been super fun for the kids. Nice property though on the river, just not great for a middle of the week stay for one night.

Love it!

This is a gem of a place on the river! It was the perfect nature weekend getaway. Dog friendly, clean, super cute and just overall peaceful place. I will absolutely stay here again.

It’s a really cool place in a unique setting. I mean, staying in a ghost town was definitely different and cool. The bed was way too bouncy and the bath towels were small and worn thin. If you can get past those two things (which we did), you’ll love the serenity of the river and the wildlife.

Potential for Great Stay

This is a neat place with fun things to do. I thought it was too expensive for what we received. The cabin had two air conditioning units, but one was inadequate for the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom it was intended to cover, as there was also a large gap under the front door. It may not have been not working at its best. We didn’t complain because it did produce cool air, but I am typically cold at night and needed no covers until 4:30 am. (Kept waking up due to warmth, as it was quiet.) Also, I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the tone of most text messages, but for a 1-night stay and trying to get away from work and its frequent messages, I have never received so many text messages. Perhaps a few could be skipped or an opt-out could be offered. Cute pioneer town and everything was spotless. Kudos to your amazing cleaning staff!

Location in Wimberley was very pretty. Room was decent although muggy and sometimes didn't smell right. Felt the price was a bit high for what we got. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Overall a 7/10.
