Looking for a Hill Country escape? Pondering Point is the perfect rustic ranch retreat. Enjoy the wide open spaces on the wrap around porch or relax under the stars in the hot tub that is roomy enough for two guests. Centrally located this property serves as a great home base for day trips to all the Hill Country favorites.

This roomy one bedroom property will host two guests. Relax in the charming living area that opens to the kitchen space. Enjoy the comfortable rich leather furniture and watch your favorite programs on the flat screen television. Enjoy a meal with a loved one in the breakfast area that seats four. With a fully stocked kitchen that includes a dishwasher, stove, oven and plenty of counter space all you will need are groceries to prepare your favorite meals.

The master hosts a king sized bed. For an extra treat enjoy a luxurious bubble bath in the clawfoot tub or shower in the glass walk in shower.

Take advantage of the large indoor game space that hosts a Ping Pong table, Poker table, and plenty of room to play board games, or charades. If you have laundry to take care of feel free to use the full size washing machine and dryer.

At Pondering Point there is lots to do outside, unwind in the hot tub, gather around the chimenea and roast s’mores. Kick back swing on the porch and enjoy the peaceful seclusion of the hill country. There is plenty of seating on the front and back porch for bird watching, or stargazing.

If you are looking for an outing there are many fun things to do only minutes away. Enjoy winery's, shopping or dining in the Wimberley town square or zip lining, exploring Jacobs Well or swimming at the Blue Hole Regional Park. Only a few minutes away is Gruene, New Braunfels, and Canyon Lake. Pondering Point is perfect for those who love being outdoors or who need a quiet weekend getaway

Good getaway
We had a great time exploring and relaxing in the Hill Country! The home is relatively clean for a remote location. The bedroom was comfortable and dark enough to enjoy sleeping in. The AC was cool, and the shower has great water pressure. Overall, we are grateful for the host's hospitality including clean towels, bedding, and basic necessities.

You get what you pay for
This property was below average. It needed mostly some minor repairs, i.e. storm door broken, my binds missing in multiple rooms and most importantly shower handle that was not functional. Property was very remote but ok. Would not go back. It was clean though.

Clean, comfortable, spacious! The hot tub was very relaxing. The bed is amazingly comfortable. Nice large towels. You are way off the road. Don't hear or see traffic or neighbors. Quick reponse to text.

Secluded Paradise
The location was definitely remote and surrounded by woods! It met our needs perfectly for the weekend get away, and the hot tub was wonderful at night time to watch the stars. Only down side was we had an issue working the shower, but the clawfoot tub was fine for our needs. A true hill country paradise for a great price.

it was a nice property for a decent price, but the listing photos and description are a bit inaccurate. no poker table, different look of bedroom. also there was a small window leak in kitchen and no batteries in the tv remote. we very much enjoyed the quiet and the hot tub, though

Great getaway
Great getaway. Very secluded with lots of nature to look at. I saw the biggest blue bird I have ever seen! Hot tub is nice to relax in. Bring wood if you plan on using the chimenea. Lots of little extras like books to read, ping pong table, and board games. My only complaint was it was difficult for us to get into the house with the keyless entry. Had to call to get the key.

No neighbors to be seen. Good. Large kitchen and king bed. Nice place to kick back and get away. Hot tub was nice at 95 degrees felt cooler than weather. No cold water in the shower, only hot (which was fine) and hotter! Shower doors mounted backwards and not sliding well. Blind missing in the bedroom so used black plastic to block light coming in. GPS got us a little mixed up and turning the driveway before. A better explanation of the approach would have helped. (...around the bend look for the rocks with the address on it.) Side door had to be lifted to close it. Overall, really enjoyed the stay.

Thjs was the perfect getaway, except for the fact that we could not turn the shower on. The water was extremely hot and trying to find the "right" temperature was difficult. Overall however everything was great for a quick escape from the bustke of life.

We want to leave every place better than we found it
This is what our parents taught us, and what we have taught our children. The barndominium has so much potential. There was a lot that we could list to improve upon. The bed needs updating, the dishwasher needs repair/replacing. The blinds are in disrepair. We found it clean, but the small things added up to become a distraction to our get away weekend. Please consider replacing the faucet in the shower. It runs very hot, and a cool shower is welcomed in the summer months. It was hard to operate. the setting was wonderful and location was perfect for what we needed, but we are not likely to rebook. There could be a welcome basket/coffee set up. We had to search for everything. The dishes were lovely, but we had to hand wash everything. Not everyone's wish on a weekend get away. Thank you and we wish you the best! ~Glenn & Lori Morris

Wonderful property!
Peaceful property, very accessible to Wimberley Town Square and Gruene/New Braunfels. Dish washer did not work and shower door and coffee pot sketchy, but overall a good experience!! We will return here.

Review
The place was just ok overall for us. It has a great location, close to town but also tons of room around the house. The hot tub worked great and clean. The house was not as listed though. When we arrived there was a sign on the dishwasher that said out of order, which was an inconvenience for us to be able to wash my child’s bottles. Also there was coffee but no coffee filters, no shampoo or soap in the shower. The bed sheets are really old and don’t have elastic in them anymore so they didn’t stay on the mattress. I would say just an ok experience overall.

Great Stay!
The property was awesome! It is super quiet and away from the road. The 5 acres it sits on definitely gives you space to roam and walk the property. The bed was super comfortable. The shower and water pressure were great too. The house was clean and had everything we needed in stock. The hot tub was also a nice touch. The only thing I can say is, the property uses well water. If you don't feel comfortable drinking well water, then bring your own. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and the house. Thanks for having us!

Great stay!
Pictures are accurate and the place is very nice. Easy to find, quiet, and close enough to downtown Wimberly to enjoy the surrounding areas. We had a great time enjoying the property amenities and the walking the property!

Hill Country Seclusion
We had a very comfortable stay at this secluded barndominium. The kitchen had all we needed and the living room recliners very comfortable. The king size bed was firm and perfect for us. The highlight for us was the hot tub that is right outside the door. We used it several times and also enjoyed a fire in the chiminea. We didn't use the game room but it is a nice area. The only improvement for us would be to tighten up the door handle leading to the hot tub. We loved the place and enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. Would definitely stay here again!

Management company fell short
The spot was good, except for the fact that the cell service was pretty much nonexistent. We had an issue with the water in our shower, wherein the only temperature that would come out was scalding hot. We contacted the property manager, who told us they came out and fixed the problem by adjusting the hot water heater, which did nothing to fix the problem inside the house. So we had no shower for the entirety of our stay. There is a tub, with a husband over 6'4", that wasn't really workable to get him ready for the wedding we were attending. I did try texting again to let them know the problem wasn't fixed, and got no response.
