This family owned cabin is sure to accommodate your family vacation needs with only a 5 min walk to the Windermere beach. It is located in the heart of Windermere. Windermere is a beautiful little community just 5 minutes south of Invermere on Windermere Lake in the Regional District of East Kootenay. This location is wonderful for family vacations as the adventures offered in an around Windermere are amazing. You can take in a round of golf, or shopping followed by a dip in the Hot Springs. Or saddle up for a horseback ride, hike in the parks, tackle the White water on a rafting trip and fish in the Windermere Valley's well-stocked lakes. Come winter, skiers, heli skiers, snowmobilers and snowshoers take to the slopes.

Second year: another success!

A group of 7 adults on our yearly trip just stayed here for the second year in a row. We love it! A great location within easy walking distance to the beach, a fantastic amount of space to gather as a group but still have our own "bubble" to hang out in. Everything is comfortable, and we were all very relaxed the whole time!

Family Vacation

This was our second time staying in this accommodation. Our family of 5 enjoyed it! The proximity to a few playgrounds, the beach and mini golf were highlights.

Lovely Windermere Getaway

Our family had a lovely time in Windermere. The place is great with lots of room for all of us (and the dogs!) and the owner was accommodating and very responsive. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous house!

A group of us go on a trip every year and this year we chose Windermere. This house was perfect! It is spacious, had everything we needed, was comfortable and we all had a wonderful, relaxing time. We loved it so much we booked it for next year's trip already!

Was very clean when checked in. Close to corner store and a few. Locks off the lake. Weather wasn’t perfect but golfing, cards and relaxing was perfect!!!

Beautiful trip!

This is our third time staying here and it is great. Temperature wasn’t quite as hot as last year which was good. The owner is awesome to deal with and responds quickly if you have any questions. No AC though which would be great to have for the summer!!!

Great Place to Stay

We really enjoyed our time at this vacation rental. The beds were awesome…lovely modern home…awesome showers! Only downside was that the dishwasher and the stove oven weren’t working. Thankfully the neighbour cooked our turkey for us for Thanksgiving dinner. So all was well!!

Summer

This was our second visit to Lake Windermere and this cabin. A great week with hot weather, great accomodation and the lake a short distance away. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we could need. Nancy was excellent and helped us out on a couple very minor issues. Highly recommend.

Hottest week this summer!

Renter was great to deal with and very accommodating. The house maybe needs a few things to keep it up but the renter said she will be on it. Great location and the weather was fantastic. Brings fans though if it’s hot out as there is no A/C.

Family Vacation

This house is an excellent family vacation home. Our family of 7 had lots of room to spread out. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Beds were comfortable and the entire unit was nice and clean. Our host was quick to reply to requests and made an extra effort to get a trades person out quickly on the long weekend to fix a problem. We would stay here again. The location is a great destination anytime of the year with easy access to the hot springs and ski hills. In the winter there are excellent cross country and skating trails maintained on the lake.

Short stay in Windermere

We enjoyed our three nights in Windermere. The property is very comfortable, well furnished and equipped and is well located. We had one lovely day at the beach, which is a ten minute walk from the house. Then the weather turned and the wildfire smoke confined us to the house for one day. Unfortunately this is becoming an annual event in BC and Alberta and the AC is extremely welcome in these conditions. The only issue with the house was the bbq running out of propane when we grilled. Other than that, the rental met or exceeded our expectations.

Windermere tour

The bathrooms were clean and the beds were good. When we went there garbage was dumped at back deck. We informed the property owner and sent a photo but the place was sort of cleaned next day only and the owner never responded. One bathroom was attached so it was not possible to freely shared. The neighborhood was not tidy. Neighbors dogs were roaming in front of our door and scared us. This is ok house but overpriced.

Needs a little TLC

Nice property with lots of room, but probably overpriced considering condition. Seriously needs some maintenance. Had to scrape ice out of the freezer to get the (older) fridge going on arrival, and had to repair the front-door handle after it fell off. Barbecue and deck furniture are old and need replacing. No back yard, and the front yard and deck are open to the neighbouring property, so not a lot of privacy (neighbours are nice, but they have several dogs who like to visit). Location is very handy for all amenities and beaches.

Broken doors, flooding basement and host was unresponsive

When we arrived the path wasn’t shovels. We checked in and it smelled funny. We check out the rooms and one the bedroom doors was off the hinges. We then used the bath room and the basement started flooding. We then tried to reach out to the host who was in Mexico. She was unresponsive for 2 hours. We called VEBO and was out on hold for 2 hours. They said they would help us find another accommodation but nothing. We left since all plumbing was going to flood basement where the bedrooms are. It took two days for the host to process a refund. She was unresponsive with VRBO which made everything take longer. Do not stay here. She doesn’t properly maintain the property or is available for check in. It took us 5 hours to find a mother place to stay.
