Fab stay at St John’s lodge and will definitely look to return. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Ada was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast variety was fantastic and the quality of the food was very good too. Easy walk to either Windermere or Bowness too with lots of options for food and drink.

This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again next year! Thanks again! Nat & Pete

Wonderful 3 night stay in Windermere

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Saint Johns lodge We had a small double room which was very nice Very clean with nice decor The breakfast is amazing with good quality local produce Rich the owner is very helpful and nothing is too much bother I would definitely recommend this hotel

What a wonderful hotel. Greated by the owner when we arrived, explained everything about the hotel, offered to help us with the local area if we didn’t know how to get around. The breakfast choice was immense and everything we had was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Rich and Ada were both very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again. Location is perfect, the same distance from Bowness and Windermere and both being walkable

Rich and his wife run a very pleasant guesthouse. They are friendly and helpful. The room has every comfort needed and is cleaned every day unless you ask for it not to be. The breakfast menu is outstanding!

A good location, great breakfast and friendly hosts combined for a lovely stay. I used the health club and went at a quite busy time (after work slot), I would advise visiting outside the peak hours if you can. Facilities at the gym/spa were great, it was just busy and not as clean etc as a result. Overall a great stay and will stay again next time i am in the area.

Great location and hosts

St Johns lodge is located conveniently to various amenities around bowness and windermere. rooms and facilities are top notch. Hosts Rich and Ada took personal interest to ensure the stay went well. Excellent breakfast. cherry on top was the free offsite spa facilities we had access after a long tiring hike.
