- Escape to Yewbeck, newly renovated retreat, where modern comfort meets the tranquil beauty of nature. Nestled in a sprawling garden inherited from a devoted horticulturist, this unique home offers a serene escape with breathtaking views of Windermere and the Langdales. The house, originally built in the 1950s within Thornbarrow Hall’s grounds, features a delightful mix of contemporary finishes and nods to its rich past.
Nestled comfortably between Bowness and Windermere, Yewbeck is a charming detached home that promises a blend of tranquility and convenience. Recently renovated, it offers modern comforts while maintaining its unique character. Let`s walk you through this delightful space!
Yewbeck at First Glance:
Location: Perfectly situated between Bowness and Windermere.
Accommodation: Three well-appointed bedrooms - downstairs two bedrooms, one double (king-size) and one of the bedrooms has a zip and link bed, offering the option of two singles or a super king (with 7 days notice for setup as super king). Upstairs one double (king-size).
Spacious Living Area: An inviting large room for relaxation and connection, complemented by a separate hall.
Bathrooms: Two convenient bathrooms - a family bathroom with shower and bath, plus an ensuite shower room.
Open Plan Kitchen/Diner: A modern, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area that opens up into the living room, ideal for family meals and gatherings.
Parking: A private driveway accommodating up to 4 cars. EV charger on-site (PAYG by App).
Outdoor Appeal: Beautifully landscaped gardens with varying levels and stunning views, perfect for nature lovers.
Inside Yewbeck:
Step into the spacious hallway, the gateway to the heart of Yewbeck. Here, you`ll find the open-plan kitchen, diner, and living room - a space designed for comfort and socialising. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, ready for your culinary adventures. The living room, with its cosy furnishings, invites you to unwind and relax.
Downstairs, the two bedrooms are havens of comfort, each with its unique charm. One bedroom, depending on your needs, can be arranged with two single beds or joined to create a super king. Just let us know your preference in advance. The family bathroom offers the choice of a soothing bath or a refreshing shower, while the second bathroom serves as a convenient ensuite.
Upstairs, discover a spacious king-size bed.

Guests will have full access to the main house, including the reception rooms, dining kitchen, and all bedrooms. The delightful gardens are also open for you to explore and relax in.
While our friendly team at Laik won`t be present physically for your check-in, we operate a seamless self check-in process to give you privacy and convenience.
Despite not being on site, we are easily reachable via phone or messages. Whether you have a query or need assistance, we`re here to ensure your stay is smooth and enjoyable.
Welcome to Yewbeck! We`re delighted to have you stay with us. To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all our guests, here are some important house rules and things to note:
1. Garden Safety: The beautiful gardens are multi-leveled with high walls and drops, plus a charming stream running alongside. While they are a delight to explore, they may not be suitable for unsupervised young children. Please keep an eye on the little ones to ensure their safety.
2. Accessibility: The main house and terrace are on a single level, offering ease of access. However, please note that some areas, including the upstairs bedroom, may pose accessibility challenges for infirm or elderly guests.
3. Parking: We offer parking space for up to 4 cars. Do be mindful that there`s a steep slope leading to the house from Lake Road, so please drive carefully. EV charger on-site (PAYG by App).
4. Pet Policy: One well-trained dog is welcome at this property for an additional charge. Dogs visiting the property should be kept off all furniture and never left unattended. We also kindly ask that you make sure that you pick up after you dog also, thank you.
We can accommodate one dog per stay, subject to a few conditions for the comfort and safety of all:
Please keep your furry friend off the furniture and out of the bedrooms and upstairs areas.
