"This was the best place for our long weekend in Bald Head! The space was perfect and had everything you could need. The owner provided a few bottles of water, coffee with cream and sugar packets, and even basic cooking spices. It is within walking distance to a few restaurants and a coffee shop if you and close to the ferry landing so we were the first drop off the tram! We will definitely be back. :)"

"I enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the activities. A welcoming surprise was the linens and towels that were individually wrap, the beds unmade and the toilet covered with clear plastic wrap. The cleanliness of the environment can be felt and seen throughout the space. We enjoyed The serenity of the backyard hideaway as we did on movie night. Great space, great location that provides total access to the beach, the surrounding areas, the restaurants. looking forward to doing it again...

"From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was greeted by a stunning view of the harbor and the charming coastal atmosphere that enveloped the area. outdoor spaces that truly stole the show. The location of the property overlooking the harbor was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the serene surroundings. You can spend countless hours watching the boats go by and marveling at the beauty of the sunset painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. The location couldn't have been better...

We have stayed at many homes large and small throughout the Carolina Beach area and will definitely come back to this home again. You are able to walk to most everything local to Carolina Beach including the boardwalk. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!!"

"The property was quaint and the perfect size for myself, my husband, our daughter, and a small dog. There were a few things left behind from the previous renter, which is why I could not give 5 stars for cleanliness. The porch was my favorite part of the house. Morning coffee while staring at the ocean was great. The area in front of the house is a great spot for shelling. I found 4 sea biscuits on one of my morning walks. We had a wonderful time and would rent again if given the opportunity."

"Mr Richard graciously welcomed us and was so very thorough in sharing where everything was! We enjoyed our stay. Quaint tiny cottage with lots of amenities! Mr Richard says he will be adding a driveway soon, as the current one is a shared entrance close to main house and close to neighbors. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us."

"The home was as it appears in the photos. We loved the screened in porch. The home was clean and had a lot of amenities. The neighborhood is quiet. The only draw back was the actual distance to the ocean- you could walk it- but you have to cross a busy road. We were lucky enough to have family also visiting that had a rental that was beach front- so we didn’t have to make that walk or have to pay for parking if we drove over to the public parking. This was our first time here/ so I was not...

"This cottage was so charming and cozy! It was a great jumping off point to see the area from Holden Beach, locally, to Oak Island to climb the lighthouse and to Southport to walk the quaint town. The cottage is so wonderfully decorated and made us feel so welcome. The fenced-in yard was perfect for my furbaby and we enjoyed sitting out back in the evenings. Thanks so much to the hosts for sharing their sweet cottage with us!"

"VERY quiet neighborhood and great walking. My mother was recovering from a long illness and enjoyed the screened in porch. Bedrooms and baths were very nice. Kitchen had most everything we needed but I would suggest some more glassware and coffee mugs Loved being close to Shallotte and Ocean Isle Beach. Overall, a great trip and would rent again. (PS....wind chimes would be lovely)"

Additionally, the beds were very comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful and was so convenient right on the beach. We hope to be back!"

"This trip was for a family gathering at Oak Island. We had several family members spread out in different rentals across the island! This was a great little cottage in a great location. It was clean and cozy, and just the right size! Property owner checked in with us to ensure we were comfortable! It was a great experience!"

"It's a convenient location in a quiet area. Able to walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Nice to be able to cook a meal rather than go out. Unfortunately, there was no ice in the ice maker, and the cutting boards are not meant to be used for food prep as they are not sealed. "

"A well maintained older home, very clean. We liked that it was close to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The only downside to our stay , the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the water pressure in the shower was lacking. Nothing we couldn't live with for a week. Would definitely consider this property again."
