The MainStay Suites near the Winnipeg airport was okay overall. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. I also appreciated having a full-size fridge and freezer, especially for keeping medication cold. Breakfast was the big disappointment. It was one of the poorest hotel breakfasts I’ve come across, so we left and went to Denny’s instead. I mentioned it to the staff, who said they were working on improving it. I hope they do, because the friendly service and spacious rooms made for an otherwise decent stay.
