We really enjoyed our time there. Cabin was clean and felt like home. Property needed mowed, the shower lacks in pressure but works fine. We will be back for sure.

Place was very clean. Instructions were very easy to understand. People were very nice and easy to communicate with. Absolutely recommend without a doubt. Will definitely stay again. Having our own washer and dryer taking kiddos on vacation saved so much time. It is a very small yet very significant detail I missed when I booked this place for me and my family but absolutely will look for in the future. Thank you!
Location was 5 minute drive from Victor Landing where my group was having a weekend event. I don't understand the added $100 cleaning fee when we're ask the clean the kitchen, strip bedding, collect and take out trash, etc. We left it as clean as we found it, actually we took more trash since there was some left from before...

Dirty House and Unhelpful Property Manager
Property has several locking mechanisms on both doors. Property manager was unaware that some of these locking even mechanisms existed, let alone how they work, leaving our family locked out of the property. Story changed several times, first stating that he wasn’t sure if his key would work, then claiming not to have a key at all, then stating that he didn’t want to come let us into the property because he has three kids and lives 30 minutes away. We even offered to drive to get the key and the offer was declined. Then we offered to pay $100 cash for him to drive out to open the property, which was also declined. He stated several times that he is “just” the property manager.
House was dirty, there was still trash from previous guests, dust everywhere, a roach even crawled on my cousin.
Whoever the actual owner is, the property is great, but it seems like the property manager needs to review what their job duties consist of, because right now, I’m honestly not sure what they’re being paid to do.
Firstly, this is a beautiful property and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Being so close to the lake and forest was fantastic and a great way to relax. We were impressed with the communication from the owner and by the hospitality we were given.
A couple things to note: the listing mentions there are toys for infants 0-2 and children 2-5. We could not find any appropriate toys for our 2-year-old, which was unfortunate since we didn’t bring hardly any for her because we were under the impression there would be some there already. (We honestly should have asked to confirm that this was accurate.)
The only other issue we had was that the house could use a decent deep-clean of things like window sills, deck furniture, and things that generally weren’t on the guest’s required cleaning list on our check-out sheet. Again, high-traffic surfaces were all very clean, it was just the other areas that were a little more inconspicuous. We wiped down some of the deck furniture ourselves, but it could use a good power washing on the cushions.
Overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay. Don is a very polite and gracious host!

Lots of trees
We were looking for a weekend getaway from a very stressful week. Being in the trees is always so calming! The owner was very kind in letting us check in early and check-in process was smooth. The property had lots of trees and we were able to see 2 deer while sitting on the porch. The downside about our trip is I'm very allergic to cigarette smoke as well as having asthma. Within about 30 minutes of checking in I got a pounding headache from the cigarette smoke smell so we opened up all the windows and went outside. We drove to where we had cell service and texted the owner. He called us back quickly and let us know if we needed to he could refund our money if we decided to leave but could not refund our cleaning fee and service fees. We returned a couple hours later and a smoke smell had died down so we decided to stay the night. Kept all the windows open. (Downfall was only few of the windows had screens so we risked the mosquitoes in house.) We stayed outdoors mostly so we enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful surroundings. We did share a driveway with another property above us which we weren't aware of and there are several dogs that bark a lot in the neighborhood so it wasn't as peaceful as some of our other VRBO stays in the area where you could hear just nature. The owner mentioned that he doesn't allow smoking but there are tons of cigarette butts under the front porch. The cleaning fee was $100 and seems a bit expensive since you are required to wipe down and sanitize bathroom counters and kitchen counters before you leave, you empty your own garbage and you take your towels and take off your own sheets and bedding and put everything in the laundry room before leaving. If I weren't so allergic we could have enjoyed our stay much more. He was very nice to deal with though!
