Staff was amazing! I lost my backpack on a local bus, Sally and Kinliegh jumped into action helping me recover my lost luggage. They are truly wonderful people and great people you want working for you! They deserve recognition for all their hard work.

We had a fabulous experience at Channels Lodge. The location in a peaceful country setting, the room with up-to-date facilities and clean, well appointed and lots of electrical connections. The staff so welcoming. From this time on this will be our destination when we visit relatives nearby.

Perfect stay with the perfect amount of space. We have family nearby and this was a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast hamper was a great plus! We will be booking again in the future.

We stayed one night, our room was upgraded at no charge which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy. We had dinner in the restaurant with friends The food was fabulous, the staff very attentive and friendly. An excellent stay, we will return and absolutely recommend.

Bed was very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful. Easy walk to the downtown area with some nice shops.

How is this a 3-star hotel - it’s absolutely lovely. The rooms are excellent: the room was clean, spacious, very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and surrounded by fields. Wonderful buffet breakfast There for a wedding - a series of room key blunders and double bookings made it hilarious but the staff were friendly and acted quick to adjust. Faulty Towers anyone ?

Beautiful old property that is very well maintained. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn’t get to try the food but menu sounded great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Nice bar area with no TVs as a distraction. Would definitely stay here again.

It was just wondering and wish I could spend more time there. Definitely will recommend to my family and friends.

Excellent One night stopover whilst visiting for an event in the area , I arrived at 8 pm & ordered a very well kept local Ale , A Sirloin steak which was delicious washed down with an excellent merlot . The annexed accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with luxurious bedding , The ensuite bathroom was very well laid out with a huge shower that was excellent . Breakfast was delicious and was cooked by the charming owner.

Admittedly we where a bit suspicious when we couldn’t contact the staff the day before or even early on the dag of arrival but then on things went very smoothly indeed. The room was perfekt and we didn’t object to the air condition a bit in the sweltering heat. The view feromon our window over the old Thames barges were soothing if you’ll excuse the expression.Before check in and moving in we had a nice cold seafood platter.
