So happy to have discovered this interesting and beautiful hotel! We chose it because the price was good and we suddenly needed to stop as we were traveling in the area. Ots more than we expected - really an historic renovated very cool place. The owner has given great detail to everything. Gorgeous artifax, furniture, attention to tiny details, including freshly baked sourdough bread at the excellent breakfast (we bought some to take with us, the crust was so good). Rooms though expensive and small, mean you can come back from the spa when tired through the connecting hotel to your room to rest. The staff were completely friendly and efficient, the facility was clean wherever I looked, the bed and other accommodations were entirely comfortable. I highly recommend this place set in a picturesque wooded ground adjacent to large lake.

We visited friends nearby and were very pleased to find this beautiful Schloss-Hotel for us to stay in - which was away from the vacation apartment they were staying in! Even though we stayed in a newer adjoining wing of the hotel we were able to enjoy the beauty of the restored Schloss. The grounds and hotel itself were impeccable. The hotel offers two restaurants - one a la carte and the other a buffet. The a la carte was located in the restored part of the Schloss and boasted vaulted...

The door to the room needed a very strong pull to open. My elderly travel companion with arthritis wasn't able to open the door. If I hadn't been traveling with her, it would not have possible for her to get out of the room. We had a room in the old stable section of the hotel.
