Beautiful Home well maintained by owner, has everything you will need. We had a great time staying here. Perfect location for everything, you could actually walk into town, we took trips all around the lakes region. Would highly recommend staying here. Owner Julie was so very nice!
Our family had the best time staying at this adorable cottage. So much so that we even added an additional night to the end of our stay because we just weren’t ready to leave. The location is perfect- close to downtown while still feeling secluded and the interior is well decorated and very clean. Julie, the host, is kind and you can tell she really cares about your stay and wants to ensure you enjoy her home. We would definitely stay again!
This is our third stay at this sweet lake cottage—it has become like a little slice of home away from home! Love the bright cheery decor and perfect location. Julie is a wonderful and gracious host and always very responsive and considerate. We highly recommend!!
This is the 5th time we stayed in this cottage...private, tasteful, perfectly appointed and comfortable. Look forward to our next visit 2024

From the moment I opened the door and walked in, I experienced joy and relaxation! From the personal welcome sign in the sun room, to the soft music and lighting, I instantly felt at home. The beds were comfortable, the layout was spacious and open, and the outdoor space was amazing for relaxing and entertaining! I highly recommend this fabulous location! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!!
Really enjoyed our time there. Loved that it was the last house on a dead end street and the close proximity to the town and beach. Wonderful relaxing stay.
This property was lovely in every way! Not only was it clean, comfortable, spacious, and conveniently located, the host went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She added touches like vases of flowers in several spots, and she made chocolate zucchini bread for us that was delicious! Beds were super comfy too, and the grounds of the property are wooded and private.
Great, dog friendly property! The host was so sweet and had brownies and dog treats waiting, a sign welcoming us, and a dog bowl of water waiting. We loved being able to walk down the street to the rail trail to walk the dogs. They were clear about asking you to cover furniture if your dogs would be on it, which was helpful to know from the start. Our dogs are spoiled and always on the furniture so it was nice that we didn't have to spend out vacation chasing them off the couch! Well stocked kitchen and great, large backyard.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It’s very spacious and private. The master bedroom on the first floor allowed our kids (9 and 12) to have the upstairs all to themselves which they loved. The cottage was stocked with everything you (or even your dog!) could possibly need. It’s very centrally located to the walking trails, center of town, and Albee beach (beach pass provided), which is an amazing town beach. Julie was a very attentive host. I can see why this cottage has so many repeat visitors!

It was perfect.
The cottage was clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The location was quiet and private. All in all a great get away place.
We loved our stay in Wolfboro; house was clean and adorable. Owners so attentive to any request before our visit. Had a corn hole set for us to play.
Plan on being back - so much to do in the area for young adults.
We had a fantastic stay at this cottage in Wolfeboro! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The chalkboard greeting with our family name, fresh flowers in the sun porch, homemade cookies (which my boys devoured), and even a fresh bowl of water for our dog were such thoughtful touches. The house itself is charming, comfortable, and stocked with everything you might need — from kitchen essentials to plenty of games for both indoors and outdoors. We especially loved the privacy and space for our dog to run and explore. The location couldn’t have been better, just steps from the Cotton Valley Rail Trail for biking and dog walks, and only a short ride into town or to the beach. The combination of warm hospitality, a prime location, and a dog-friendly setup made our week here truly memorable. We left with wonderful family memories and would happily return!

The cottage was super clean, well stocked and lovely!
I had a wonderful experience at the Cottage. Julie was super accommodating, friendly and helpful, and made our trip a delight. Winston (dog) was thrilled with all the doggie accommodations, and looks forward to returning. Clean, comfortable and even smelled delicious! Julie also left me some yummy baked goods. Overall, delightful visit!
We had a wonderful time! The cottage was clean, had all that we needed. Towels, sheets plentiful. Everything worked. AC when it was needed. It was quiet, the neighbors were sweet. The property was large for our big dog. He loved it!
The four of us and our two dogs had a wonderful weekend at this cozy clean cottage. We’ve never had such a welcoming check-in. The lights and fireplace were on, music was playing, fresh baked goods for us and treats for the pups were on the counter. We cooked a few meals in the well equipped kitchen. Also ate out a couple of times at restaurants on Main St. which is a just a quick drive away. The dogs enjoyed the private yard and some great walks on the nearby Cotton Valley trail. Would highly recommend. Julie and Tom were easy to reach hosts and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

They thought of EVERYTHING!
What a welcome! When I arrived there was a nice message waiting for me, along with cut flowers, fresh-baked brownies, and a bowl of water for my dogs. That was only the start. Everything in the house is well thought out and wonderful quality. The pictures are great, but the actual cottage is even better. The home is at the end (top) of a street, so no cars go past. Beyond the property is a wooded area. At the bottom of the hill is the Cotton Valley Rail Trail and Crescent Lake. Great location. Wonderful spot!
This is a wonderful house and we had a fabulous family vacation! The house has plenty of space inside and out for our family of 4 and 2 big dogs. It's light and airy and close to everything the lake and town have to offer but with privacy for eating on the deck, playing in the yard, and enjoying a fire. The house is well equipped and has everything you need for a home away from home. I so appreciated all of the little extras, the mirror in the closet for hair and makeup, the well-stocked linens and towels, dog bowls and beds, and local links and suggestions for things to do no matter the weather. Julie and Tom were welcoming hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and letting us know when something on the property would be occurring but not at all intrusive. All in all, this is a great house and we look forward to coming back to experience a different season!

Home Away from Home on Vacation
August 2010 ~ We just spent one week at the Cottage on High in Wolfeboro and did not want to leave! We were drawn to the cottage through the photos and online reviews and hoped for the best. This lovely cottage was above and beyond anything we had hoped for! The cleanliness and attention to every little detail was amazing! We were greeted with chocolate chip cookies, which were SO good that we had to ask for the recipe. We cooked and grilled most of the week and the kitchen was stocked with every utensil and gadget that we needed. The sun room quickly became our game room, the living room just oozed with comfort and the clawfoot tub was a wonderful way to melt away the day. The cottage is central to the lakes and mountains. We enjoyed all that the Wolfeboro waterfront has to offer; views, shopping, dining, ice cream and nail salon. Took a 2.5 hour cruise around Lake Winnipesaukee, visited the Wright Museum, enjoyed Albee Beach, biked the Bridge-Falls Path and fished for bass. Drove to North Conway and went tubing down the Saco River and poked around the shops. Took the kids over to Meredith for shopping and Fun Spot for arcade games. We cannot say enough about the Cottage on High and hope to go back again - spring and fall are our next choices! Julie and Tom are wonderful hosts and should be most proud of this home.
Loved the cottage, very clean and comfortable. It was a short easy walk to downtown. Had a great yard to hangout in which was great for the dog. Would definitely book again.
Took my husband and 2 dogs up to the cottage for his birthday. We had a great relaxing weekend. Everything we could possibly need was in the cottage. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
Julie and Tom are the best hosts. Their place is amazing and the home had absolutely everything we needed and more. We visited with our two kids and dog. They are hands on owners that really care about their guests. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Wolfboro. Thanks Julie and Tom!
