Abercorn - one of Stayz’s 2025 Holiday Homes of the Year
10/10 Excellent
"This property was amazing, bedding was so comfy, the kitchen, dining and living rooms were huge. Modern bathrooms such a well thought out design. There were 7 of us and we were all in awe of the property. Thank you Sara for allowing us to stay at your little piece of paradise. I could go on and on "
"Honestly the nicest family. So easy going, easy communication and go above and beyond for accommodating. Sent us an email asking if we’d like bread on arrival. Sent one back saying it’s all good we’re actually coeliac and to our surprise there was a loaf of fancy gluten free bread waiting for us. So lovely and down to earth "
"Very private and relaxing stay. Good heating and electric blankets. Great selection of DVDs. Beautiful nature setting with sheep, birds and Tony's quality wine tasting on site. Tony was a wonderful host! "
Cascade - Luxe 2-bedroom villa at Small Batch Brewery & Hop Farm on 40 acres
10/10 Excellent
"Our family of five stayed for two nights at this property as we were attending our son’s State Championships for Rugby Union held in Mudgee for the weekend. The property was stunning. The welcome we received along with the free taste testing sitting by the fire pit, the decor and finishing touches of the property, the details such as marshmallows given to the kids to toast by the fire were without fault and greatly appreciated. Would absolutely love to stay at the property again and have more time to enjoy the property and surroundings. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Stunning property and beautiful welcoming hosts. Nothing was an issue. Felt so comfortable and welcome. Thank you. "
"We had a lovely time at the Odd Frog property. Fi was a great host, super easy to find. The bunkhouse has everything you need. The entire family loved all the wildlife around the bunkhouse, especially seeing the local platypus in the creek. Exploring the caves close by was a highlight with our dog loving every minute. We will certainly be back to try the cottages out. "
The Creek Country Retreat with Hot Tub/Cold Plunge amongst Mudgee Best Vineyards
10/10 Excellent
"We all felt so comfortable and didn’t want to leave. The beds were so cozy, the hot tub was unreal, we felt safe and at home. The level of hospitality was unreal.Shelley and Mick truely went above and beyond to make our stay as carefree as possible. It was a pleasure meeting Mick for coffees and donuts down the driveway. The accomodation and facilities were perfect for us. We cannot wait to go back, I want to take everyone there now. Even if we don’t get lucky enough to lock this accomodation down in future, we will be sure to stop by the old wheels grind for the best coffees and hot donuts for breaky. "
"We had the most wonderful stay over the long weekend. The farm stay was cozy and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The fireplaces were a huge hit, especially during rhe cooler evenings. It was refreshing to walk around the beautiful farmland surrounded by sheep, cattle and liamas- such a peaceful and unique experience. A big thankyou to Fiona who was always prompt and helpful with our queries. Her hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil and charming family ascape !"
"Having lived on a similar rural acreage for close to 40 years we had some idea of what to expect. This stay far exceeded our expectations, a stay of only two days. Upon arrival instantly approached by the host, Robbie, a most charming and obliging host. There is nothing that is not supplied in the way of food, beverages and household amenities. To arrive there is as much as arriving at home. Top marks for Robbie's hospitality. 5 stars!"
