"This was a wonderful and peaceful getaway for my family. The hosts are quick and friendly in their communication. We really appreciated the amount of open land surrounding the home and clear views of the lake. Everything was well kept and clean! We have stayed in a variety of different locations up north and agree that this is one of the best! One thing to note … the house is large and has an ample amount of space for families and friends, but there is only one television. Certainly not a dealbreaker for my family, but having one more television set would offer a little bit of flexibility, especially with kids. We’ll definitely try and return! "

"Rooms were cleaned everyday during our week stay and they would change sheets upon request. Breakfast had a good variety and staff did a good job insuring sufficient items were out no matter the time in the morning. Comfortable place to stay. "the house had everything we needed for a wedding weekend and then some. it was far more economical than a hotel too. i wish we had more time. sitting on the deck listening to the wind and wildlife was my favorite part. "

Not only inside, but beautiful grounds, garage, well equipped fire pits, boathouse with many toys, large dock for boats/pontoon.Clear water for swimming, and easy walk from house to beautiful Big Portage lake.My favorite place was the catwalk to a private space over looking the lake. So peaceful.The home is a work of art. Many of the owners personal treasures you'll most likely will never see again. There's a boardroom, ice cream room, bar room, huge beautiful living room and Professional Kitchen!,besides 7 bedrooms. A focal point is The Gazebo for Wine Time! Just beautiful. Your property managers Lynne & Gary are professionals and it shows as they walk you through the property.We will return for Sled Races and already booked for 2026 Fall. Thank you "
