"Very clean and quiet room. Slight musty odour in bathroom but to be expected in view of the age of the property. Perhaps consider eventually replacing with a walk-in shower rather than a shower over the bath tub which is very dated. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very willing to assist in any queries. Lovely dinner menu and very good choices on bar menu also. Food was excellent quality. Would highly recommend the steaks and we had the sharing sea food platter the next night. Amazing breakfast menu choices also. Would suggest water glasses in bedroom please. We dont drink from bottles! We borrowed 2 wine glasses from dinner to use in our room and left them there. Would definitely stay again. Finally, suggest booking spa treatments prior to stay as its busy."

"An overnight stay on our way to Norfolk. The in-house restaurant had a few vegan options. There was a nice pool and spa area, so it was ideal for a relaxing evening after a journey from Kent. Good value too!"

"Owl's nest is situated in a most beautiful part of rural Suffolk. If peace and quiet and a place to recharge is what you need, then you'll definitely find it here. The Our host Clare provided everything we needed- including a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge and some chocolate cookies which was a nice touch. As the property is a fair way from Woodbridge, we would recommend stocking up at the local supermarket so you can relax and enjoy your time there. There are some lovely walks if you want to stay and explore or if you're feeling adventurous there are lots of places of interest to visit - all within 30- 45 minutes away. Woodbridge itself is a lovely town full of character and quirky shops- well worth a visit and Aldeburgh and Southwold are within 45 minute drive. Would highly recommend 10/10"

"The hotel is in an idylic situation close to the castle, town square with easy access to great walks, that explore the surrounding village/town and countryside. Food is good, as are the rooms, car parking is tight but accessible. Plus loads of things to do within easy reach. Staff were all helpful, polite and made you very welcome."

"Nice quiet room with plenty of tea/coffee etc. Good bathroom. Fan provided (useful in the heat!) Easy to park. The staff were great, friendly, polite and helpful. We had a snack and drink in the bar (good) and an excellent breakfast. Conveniently located for Woodbridge amenities. Would definitely recommend."

"Lovely peaceful setting in rural Suffolk, with walks on mown path around edge of property. Handy enough to reach Sutton Hoo and Minsmere by car. The only negative was that the shower temperature controls were difficult to master - some instructions would be useful."

"Josie made us welcome from the start, sorted out the rooms. Didn't look too astonished regarding the sleeping arrangements of separate rooms for a married couple. Mainly as she had never heard how much I snore. The fisherman's friends on Saturday night were honestly wonderful, good value food, sensibly priced drinks. We had a ball."
