Nestled within the beautiful countryside of Suffolk, The Meadows Dairy offers a tranquil retreat with breath-taking, panoramic views. Located within the Manor House Estate in Bawdsey, guests can enjoy the luxury of an on-site heated swimming pool and tennis court, all while being just a stone’s throw from Suffolk’s stunning coastline, heathlands and forests.

This charming, detached property is the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of Bawdsey Peninsula, as well as the nearby coastline and countryside. Just a short distance away, Bawdsey Quay awaits with its picturesque sailing spots and sandy beach, where you can also catch the foot ferry to Felixstowe for a fun day out.

The Meadows Dairy offers three comfortable bedrooms, including one with an en-suite shower room. The property sleeps up to five guests (maximum four adults), with a king-size bed, a double bed, and a bunk bed (perfect for children).

The bright, airy sitting room provides a welcoming space for relaxation, and the spacious kitchen/dining area is ideal for gathering with loved ones. The cosy woodburner adds warmth and charm to the living areas, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation along with the smart TV with streaming platforms available.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge and freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. Other essentials include a kettle, toaster, and iron. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. There is also a family bathroom with a shower, bath, wash basin and WC as well as a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Short breaks are available, making The Meadows Dairy an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway, whether for a long weekend or an extended stay.

Outside there is a private patio area and a fenced garden with outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Guests also have access to expansive, communal grounds, which include a shared swimming pool (seasonal use) and tennis court, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.

Private parking is available for up to two cars, ensuring you have convenient and secure parking during your stay.

The nearest beach is less than two miles away, making it easy to enjoy the stunning coastline.

There is a convenience store in Alderton less than half a mile away providing convenient access to local services.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere within the property, maintaining a clean and fresh environment for everyone.

Swimming Pool – The Manor House Estate, Bawdsey (from 2nd May 2025)
The pool is open daily from 08:00 to 20:00.
Booking slots: 13 x 45-minute slots available between 08:00–14:00 and 16:15–20:00.
14:00–16:15 is an open-use period for owners and guests, no booking needed.
Booking sheets are posted each evening on the pool house gate for the day after tomorrow — first come, first served.
One slot per property per day unless extra slots are available. Shared use is allowed.
Facilities and Etiquette:
The changing room and toilet are open, but arriving “swim ready” is encouraged.
No alcohol, glass, or dogs in the pool area.
The pool is unsupervised — please use responsibly.
Replace the cover carefully after your slot if no one is swimming next.
Health and Safety:
Do not use the pool if unwell.
In case of emergency, follow instructions on the notice board.
First aid kit and incident log are in the cloakroom.
Pool use is subject to chemical levels — it may close at short notice if necessary.
