  • Large modern villa with 4 large bedrooms , multiple sleeping options for family groups. With a wrap around verandah and ranch sliders from downstairs living areas and bedroom you can access the north facing, beautiful and well established gardens and lawns. Enjoy the amazing sunsets and night sky gazing. Nearby Woodend beach is great for swimming in summer and the woodland beach reserve trail can be walked or biked from Woodend all the way through Pegasus to Waikuku. The home's quiet rural setting with established trees and gardens, contains an abundance of mature plant species including Rhododendrons, Camelias, Pin oaks, Maples, Dogwoods, flowering Cherries, Roses and Hydrangeas which provide a haven for native birds. Listen for the tui , fantail , quail and pheasant's call. With a rural outlook on all sides , but 5 minutes from the main highway and just 5 - 10 minutes from Kaiapoi, Woodend and Rangiora townships. The best of both worlds!

Family get together

The place was perfect for our extended family who had gathered for a funeral. Gorgeous fire & plenty of space & bathrooms for everyone. Short drive to Woodend Beach which we loved too. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay! Highly recommend!

We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again. Margaret was amazing. Everything was well organised, and the rooms were spotless, with fresh linens. We were impressed by how clean and well-maintained everything was. If you are looking for a clean, welcoming, and well-kept place to stay, this is the spot.

Fantastic Family House

We had the best time on this property catching up with family. So much living space and beautiful blossoms to look at in the garden. Fantastic rural outlook but close to supermarkets/food places as well. Would highly recommend this house

A private area , Lots of rooms & bathrooms for all , close to main highway to Christchurch & local beaches , singke glazed , wear earplugs at night , great hosts very clean & inviting , lovely vases of flowers thoughtfully arranged , conservative french country style.

Rural Retreat

This property was like staying in someone's home. There were personal touches ie fresh flowers in vases. Lots of spaces around the wrap around deck to sit either peacefully alone or joining the group.A walk around the grounds told a story of a once loved garden that still held good bones and structure.

Rural retreat

A lovely well appointed house. Lots of space to relax in, comfortable beds, lovely log fire, more than sufficient bathrooms. We found it a great place for a group of friends to get together to catch up, watch movies and enjoy great food. Near the beach but some of us also enjoyed the second hand shopping in Rangiora. Very close to Christchurch. So lots to do if you don't just want to relax. A pleasant rural outlook.

Our wonderful house stay

Our party consisted of 5 adults. Check in was organized and quick through email. Entering the property we were all amazed with the accommodation. 2 bedrooms had on-suits( 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs with the other bathroom for 2 other rooms. 1 spare toilet downstairs. This property would be one I'd happily stay in again and live permanently in. We all loved the covered in veranda, having tea and breakfast their each day.. The fire heated the whole house.. please take the time to enjoy this wonderful house.
