  • Peaktop View is a beautifully presented, dog-friendly holiday caravan sleeping up to four guests, located on the peaceful, family-run Grasmoor View Holiday Park in Winscales, near Cockermouth on the edge of the Western Lake District. Complete with your own private hot tub and beautiful views towards the surrounding fells, it offers the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring one of the UK's most spectacular national parks.

    Grasmoor View Holiday Park is a secure and well-maintained park with just 24 privately owned caravans and an on-site warden, creating a peaceful setting for couples and families looking for a quieter holiday. Its convenient location provides easy access to the A66 and places you within easy reach of the lakes, mountains, forests and picturesque villages that make the Lake District National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    The spacious master bedroom features a king-size bed, generous built-in wardrobes, a dressing table, window seat and plenty of storage. It also benefits from a private en-suite shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin, providing extra comfort and convenience during your stay. The second bedroom offers two comfortable single beds together with built-in wardrobe space, making the caravan ideal for families or friends travelling together. A separate family shower room with shower, toilet and wash basin is located off the hallway.

    The fully equipped kitchen has everything you'll need for a relaxing self-catering holiday, including an integrated gas oven, microwave, five-ring gas hob, 70/30 fridge freezer, full-size dishwasher, 9kg washing machine, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle and toaster. A full range of cookware, crockery, cutlery, baking trays and kitchen utensils is also provided, allowing you to prepare everything from a hearty breakfast before a day out to an evening meal back at the caravan.

    The bright and comfortable lounge is the perfect place to unwind after exploring the Western Lake District. Two comfortable sofas, a JVC 40-inch Fire Smart Full HD television with Alexa built in and the ability to sign into your own Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts provide entertainment whatever the weather. A DVD player with a selection of DVDs, free Wi-Fi and USB charging sockets complete the home-from-home experience.

    The dining area comfortably seats four guests, making it an ideal space to enjoy meals together or plan the next day's adventures.

    Outside is where Peaktop View really comes into its own. The caravan benefits from secure gated composite decking to the side together with screened composite decking to the front, creating a private space to sit and admire the beautiful views towards the Western Lake District fells. Garden furniture is provided, and there is parking for one vehicle directly behind the caravan.

    Your private hot tub provides the perfect place to relax after a day of walking, sightseeing or exploring the surrounding area. Whether you're enjoying an early morning soak or unwinding beneath the evening sky, it's a wonderful way to make your stay even more memorable.

    Peaktop View welcomes dogs, with 1 medium dog or 2 small dogs accepted on request only.

    Bed linen, towels and hot tub robes are provided for use during your stay. All beds are made up ready for your arrival.

    Gas, electricity and water are all included within your stay. Please note that a cleaning fee applies to all bookings.

    A travel cot and high chair can be provided for a small additional charge. Please let us know before your arrival if you would like either item arranged.

    Cockermouth is just a short drive away and offers an excellent selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. Keswick, Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake, Whinlatter Forest, Buttermere and many of the Western Lake District's most popular attractions are all within easy driving distance, making Peaktop View an excellent base for discovering this beautiful part of Cumbria.

    For the comfort of all guests, Grasmoor View Holiday Park does not permit contractors or work vans on site. There are no EV charging points on site, and charging electric vehicles from the caravan's electricity supply is strictly prohibited. Hen and stag party bookings are not accepted.

Please put Key & Barrier Fob back in the keybox once you have raised the site barrier & removed your vehicle from the site. You will need to walk back from the road to the caravan keybox.
Failure to return Key & Barrier Fob to the Keybox will result in you being charged to replace the Fob, which is currently £75
We will Email you Check-in & Check-out instructions 3 days before your stay. Please read this Email & attachment as it contains important information.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
