Great property located on Wrightsville Beach. Although the hotel structure is a little older, all of the updates made by Trailborn have made the property feel new. All the amenities are there with a nice small pier across the street on the sound side of the island for watching sunsets.

Loved our stay at Trailborn Surf & Sound! Our room was spacious and super clean, and the harbor view was amazing. The food at both the hotel restaurant and pool bar was 10/10. Would definitely recommend making dinner reservations if you’re visiting on a busy weekend. The pool area is great, although a little small, so get there early if you want to grab a chair. Beach access is super convenient, too. There isn’t a ton to do in the immediate surrounding area without driving, but honestly, we loved just staying on-site and enjoying the pool, beach, food, and relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely stay again!

This is a unique property with access to the ocean and the sound. We enjoyed the different boating opportunities: sunset cruise on a pontoon, sailing charter, and sea kayaking rentals.

My stay at Trailborn Surf & Sound was overall very enjoyable. The room was comfortable, and the view of the ocean was truly exceptional—one of the highlights of the trip. The atmosphere by the pool was relaxing, and the drinks were excellent, adding to the overall experience.However, I did notice that the bathroom upkeep fell short of the standard I expected. The showerheads and the bathroom vent were noticeably dirty, and there appeared to be some type of buildup or growth on the bathroom’s sliding door. These issues made the bathroom feel unpleasant despite the otherwise great stay.With improved attention to bathroom maintenance, this property has the potential to offer an outstanding experience from start to finish.
