Private Bay Beachfront - Stunning Location!

Come and stay at The Cottage in Ruffins Bay for an unforgettable and magical experience.

This sublimely cool beach house has all the makings of a beach front retreat that will ensure that you, your friends and family create memories that will last a lifetime.

The cottage shares the bay with only 6 other houses which gives you the space and privacy to relax and unwind during your holiday.

Step outside the front door and have Ruffins Bay beach just metres away from you. Perhaps launch your boat at the private boat ramp or enjoy using the large beach front lawn for a picnic or game of cricket . The beach is really safe for swimming and kids have so much space to run around. As the sun goes down, the deck is the perfect place to be for happy hour and spending some quality time with those who you have come to Ruffins Bay with.

The house boasts 4 large bedrooms with luxe linens and comfy beds, a modern kitchen, large open plan living and dining and wonderful indoor / outdoor flow complete with an expansive deck that is perfect for soaking up the view, and cooking your catch of the day on the Weber BBQ. There is also a modern bathroom and second lounge area with TV which is a great place to send the kids to hang out if you want a bit of peace and quiet.

To top things off there is a dishwasher, full laundry facilities, bluetooth audio, and Netflix, however the cottage is the type of place where you put your phone away, forget about the chores and enjoy a kiwi holiday the way that they used to be.

There are also two sit on kayaks plus life jackets that guests can use to explore the beautiful bay.

Coromandel Town is only five minutes drive away for fantastic Restaurants, Cafes and Shopping.

The cottage has been in our family for three generations and we love to share the very special Ruffins Bay experience so please come and stay!

We have a port a cot and high chair available for guest use.

Special conditions:
- WIFI is not unlimited as unfortunately we can't get this in the bay and hence we request that guests don't excessively stream. Phone coverage is very good in the bay.
- No parties or events
- We are on tank water, please conserve water.
- Smoking strictly outside
- Max two boats per group unless otherwise agreed due to parking restrictions

The perfect house for multiple families, spacious and entertaining with toys for the kids and an outdoor area facing the water for the adults. Easy process to book, enter etc. 10/10 would recommend.

A stunning location for a break!

A great bach right on the beach, made perfect with the use of the two kayaks in a safe bay for the kids to paddle around in. Thanks Emily for your quick responses to our last minute booking and accommodating us at short notice. Highly recommend to anyone needing a break by the beach.

A very nice house in a quiet, beautiful bay. The house is very spacious; we were four adults and three children staying in the house, and had room to spare. Great facilities outdoor for barbecue, also in rainy weather as the terrace is partially roof-covered. Can highly recommend!

The most peaceful, safe, quiet bay. Beautiful homely well appointed holiday home with all the luxuries. Our third time back to the bay and even though the weather didn’t turn up for us we still had a very relaxing time. Highly recommend

Couldn’t recommend this place enough - it’s the perfect mix of solitude & the convenience of having town a 5 minute drive away. Beautiful property with all the home comforts, lots of space, perfect for 2 families and postcard picturesque beach safe and accessible for small children. Family Stay at Ruffins Bay

This is a great cottage set in a prime position at beautiful Ruffins Bay and only metres away from the water. Our extended family of 8 adults stayed and it accommodated us well. It had everything we needed including space for the boat and a special locked room for all the fishing gear. Also, lovely linen on the beds and all the crockery, glassware and utensils etc you would need in the kitchen. Lovely little deck out the front with a large table - perfect to gaze out on the water. Our booking and communication with the owners was seamless. We're keen to go back.

Magic spot

Communication was excellent. Place was so lovely plenty of room, lovely linen. Toys, books, sand toys my grandson enjoyed. Games and two tv's for adults. Arrived to a gorgeous platter on the table including bubbles which is girls enjoyed. We all enjoyed going out on the kayaks. Intend to come back in the summer. Thanks so much.

We stay here every year and the property is always immaculate. Everything you need plus some! The private bay is perfect for relaxing. Swimming available 5-6 hrs /day and right on your door-step. Corommandel township only 10 minutes away. Appreciate that every time we stay the owners have updated or added something to the experience. Even if the weather is not ideal, there's still plenty to do in the roomy indoors /deck areas. Always hard to leave.
