The room was huge, just nice as we had a family gathering. 15mins walk to ZhongShang Road, the pedestrian shopping street, but it was a nice walk. Staff was courteous.

Was upgraded to sea view but room had not undergone some renovation as bathroom was without rain tree shower only handheld shower. Nevertheless, hotel is walkable to harbour as well as zhongshan pedestrian street.

The room is very comfortable especially the bed and blanket. The hotel location is good. It is between the metro station and Zhongshan Street. Heping Wharf is only 400m from hotel. The gym is very big. The only thing that need to improve is the buffet lunch quality. They have many many variety of food but only a few items are nice.

Hotel need to improve on this

Hotel is very good. Very convenient location to travel around xiamen. But the complimentary mineral water bottles should place in the room and not in the toilet. There is also another 2 bottle of mineral water that need to pay money and was place inside the room. My hubby think is free and drank it. In the end we need to pay money for it

The Gulangyu View Room had a spectacular view. Service at the hotel was lovely although they seem to want to charge for everything. I got a couple of coffee sachets in my room and there was a sign saying if I wanted more, it was chargeable. Seemed a bit odd to me because I would not use the tea bags. I wonder if they would have swapped tea bags for coffee? But I thought charging for coffee and sugar was a bit petty. The hotel is in a wonderful location. The area is very walkable with lots to see and do. The hotel comes recommended!
