"I booked one week at the New World Hotel based on the information on the Expedia website. The New World advertisement says they have a restaurant, laundry service, breakfast available, free Wi-Fi and free parking. In fact when I arrived none of these were available. Holy Moly! Here is the good and bad. Here is the short list of good: The hotel is near a vibrant street for foodies; you can get a taxi nearby anytime with a wave of a hand; the rooms are moderately sized and relatively quiet; the bedding in my room was adequate. Now the not so good: The hotel is old; needs better maintenance; the rooms need deep cleaning; front desk staff is indifferent; no food or coffee; no working Wi-Fi; on a street with an elevated freeway above. If you are looking for a hotel on a tight budget and can overlook a lot of stuff, this hotel will be great for you."

"A heritage building, close to everywhere, you pay what you get ...There is no central heating, I visited during a cold wave. I couldnt even get an extra blanket on the 1st night, 2nd night, I cant tolerate this cold anymore.. eventually the staff did bring me one.. This hotel is in some sort of heritage old building.. things are felling apart.. the fridge did not work, the shampoo dispenser didnt work... the staff did try to keep everything together and helpful.. i think if you dont mind the condition, it's near everything and plenty of food options.. "

"It is an antique hotel. I like the dim sum in the Chinese restaurant, the foods is nice with reasonable price. The buildings around the hotel are so antique. Make sure take as many pictures as you can. Something you need to concern : The subway is about 600m to 800m away from the hotel. I don't mind to walk, because I can enjoy my view around the area. Something to prepare before travel to China: You better download the local GPS, WeChat Pay or Alipay. (WeChat is the must). Enjoy !! 🤗🤗"
