I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel. "There was a really good Texas barbecue restaurant right next to the hotel and the staff was very friendly. The beer was incredible and probably some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had much better than 90% of the places I been even in Texas. The hotel staff was friendly. And a short walk to the main street are plenty of dining options as well as other shops for any essential items you might need."
