"This basic hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful with some local things, though they didn't know much about visiting Calakmul. I suggest hiring a professional guide for that. Beds were clean and comfortable. There was actually real cable TV (via satellite) which was nice to entertain ..."

The Calakmul ruins are amazing and the bat cave is an indescribable once in a lifetime experience. But perhaps our favorite thing about the area was our late afternoon visit to the Beccan — they are stunning. A must see.
