Your senses will come alive as you take in the details of this gorgeous home, from the handcrafted front door to the aesthetic tile work. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is the perfect retreat for your Oregon coast getaway! Located in one of the best neighborhoods in Yachats, Oregon, the Big Wave Lodge offers you spectacular views of the waves breaking onto the tidepools right out your windows! From whales, sea lions and sea birds to fishing vessels and storm watching, the action is sure to please year round. A short walk down one of the most scenic streets on the central coast will lead you to a set of steps to the sand in Yachats Bay. At high tide, you will walk right past a blow hole and the bay will be filled with water and sea life. At low tide, the bay turns into a wonderful cove-like sandy beach. You are also walking distance to the town of Yachats where you will find fabulous dining, fresh seafood, and wonderful shops to explore.

The grand family room has a 75" flat screen TV and a large, inviting sofa. Grab a book or a pair of binoculars and claim your spot in front of the sunny picture windows! The custom kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need during your visit. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms and a shared full bath. There are another 2 bedrooms upstairs which share a spectacular custom bath-suite. There is a deep, freestanding bathtub with ocean views, double sinks and a most spectacular shower with double shower heads and incredible mosaic tile artwork. You will feel like you stepped in to the most luxurious European spa!

Just a short drive south you will find Cape Perpetua Scenic Area for hiking, whale watching, and the highest viewpoint accessible by car on the Oregon Coast, Heceta Head Lighthouse, and many beach turnouts to be able to explore the coastline.

The check in time seems lat (5). Unclear where hot tub key is. Nice house, somewhat spartan kitchen. Great location, good beds, and would happily stay there again.

Loved the house and location. Amenities were great. Reported slow draining sinks in the bathrooms but didn’t get a call back. The shower tiles in the primary bathroom could be cleaner. The shades in the primary bedroom could be cleaned. Overall, a very nice spacious house that could use a little sprucing up.

Perfect accomodations. We were a family with 5 adults and 2 dogs .Well stocked kitchen. One knob on stove broken but did not affect our stay. Awesome bathroom. Great beach view with good access. Loved it and would come back.

We wanted a little get away and this was a relaxing and great reset for us. We took full advantage of the tub in the upstairs bathroom and the quick walk across the street for some ocean mist. With the flexibility of working remotely, this was a great setup. Wifi allowed me to take multiple video calls for productive meetings. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The house has a congenial layout for lounging, cooking and eating. Hot tub on the deck is outstanding. 4 bedrooms without a dominant master suite makes it nice for several couples. Kitchen was adequately but sparsely supplied. Close to much beauty. Great day hikes. Highly recommended.

Amazing views, would definitely stay again. The only downfall was that the shower upstairs did not get very hot and the heater in the house didn’t seem to work very well. We could not get the house above 65 degrees. Other than that, we had a wonderful time!

The house has a lot of potential. It was clean but needed some TLC. Most of it was just general maintenance issues like painting on the outside, updating of decorating, and the refrigerator literally had rust all over the outside of it. We also had no air conditioning or heat the entire time we were there. The master bath had an incredible shower, but there was no way to keep the water inside the shower and it would run all over the floor. They took care of these issues. It would probably be one of the nicest places we stayed. They have great big picture windows that look out to the ocean. The hot tub on the deck was very clean and we enjoyed it. We would stay at this property again.

Big Ocean Lodge is a wonderful home. Plenty of room for up to 8. Well stocked kitchen. Large table. Great TV and comfortable living area. The home is close to town and right across the street from the Pacific. Great views of the crashing waves from the kitchen,, living room and top bedrooms. The only downside to our stay was that the hot tub was out of commission and the gas fireplace isn’t available for use. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at this property! The master bed was so comfortable and the upstairs bathroom suite was one of my favorite features of the house. We used the hot tub, grill and enjoyed the stunning views from the living room, master bedroom and upstairs bathroom suite! The only thing I would want to change is the ability to lower the hot tub temp so it is more kid friendly. And somehow there were other guests in the house when we arrived because they were confused and though it was their rental. However management was always very responsive regarding any concerns and needs.

We couldn’t enjoy as much of a view because of the smoke from forest fires in the state, but it was a great location. Lots of time spend exploring the rocks and tide pools out front, and then home to the very cozy beds! A few more basic supplies would be nice (only dishwasher powder; no dish soap for handwashing, a paper towel holder with no paper towels, etc.). Also we somehow missed the message about the towels being bagged by the door, so the first night we were looking everywhere for enough towels for the family. Other than that though, good communication and nice location: would recommend.

We had such a wonderful time at this property in Yachats, Oregon (literally right across the street from the ocean and....at low tide...the tidepools)! It was the perfect size for our family of 8 (including teens and children)! It was very clean, it has a large, nice hot tub, a large gas grill to cook on, all of the kitchen utensils, plates, pans etc, to have a great time cooking there, a huge washer and dryer and I LOVED the upstairs bathtub and double shower room! So cool! We would highly recommend the Cape Perpetua Park in the Siuslaw National Forest (only 2 miles South) for some beautiful forest and ocean hiking! AND LeRoy's Blue Whale Restaurant! It was SO good!!! This was our Oregon Dream Vacation, and we would LOVE to come again! Sincerely, Danielle & Michael B. & Family

It was very easy to settle in to this wonderful home on the beautiful coast of Oregon. We opened the windows and were immediately soothed by the sound of the waves just outside, it set the mood for our entire trip. We found the bedrooms comfortable, the bathrooms were as pictured with that great shower and soaker tub right by the window. We cooked at home a good amount of the time and did not find any of the cookware lacking. The hot tub was very nice to end the day. The beach and town of Yachats are all very close and in walking distance. All of the state parks you could visit and explore in a weeks time are within a few miles driving distance. We cleaned the floors a bit when we came in because we realized our feet/socks were getting a bit dirty walking around without shoes. The screen slider to the hot tub had some tears in the screen but was still completely functional. We didn't have use of the hot tub our first night, but that is ok because they had drained and refilled it (it was still heating the water up). There is some water damage in the ceiling corner of the 1st floor (back) king bedroom above where the front facing windows are as well as some water damage on the ceiling of the 1st floor queen room. If I had to guess it is from the upstairs bathroom or the dormer. I did not see any mold though, so that is good! Upstairs bedrooms were immaculate! Overall would recommend highly :-)
