"This is an older hotel/onsen that has been bought by a Japanese chain, and they have done a great job refurbishing parts of it while keeping the general feel of an older onsen. My friend and I greatly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff very kind and helpful, the food good, and the atmosphere in general very pleasant. "Staff was super nice at this property. Service was top of the line. They even drove us up and down the road even though we could've walked. Food was delicious, elaborate, and made with superb craftsmanship. Room was so comfortable probably one of the most comfortable ryokans we have stayed at. Private open air bath was perfect with snowing outside!"
