"Property was very clean and the kitchen had everything we could need, even an electric tea kettle, immersion blender, and crockpot. Our family who lives in Sisters chose to drive over every evening for dinner (and 1 breakfast). Susan was very responsive throughout the week whenever I had questions. One other thing that we typically don’t see, the bed we used was adjustable (snore, flat, or zero gravity). I didn’t check if all the beds have that feature but at least 1 does. My husband is a snorer with bad heart burn, so he prefers to sleep elevated. That was a big plus that we weren’t expecting."

"This is a lovely house in classic Black Butte rustic style. The living spaces are open, light, and airy. Back of the house, mostly windows, and large deck face onto the 16th fairway of Glaze Meadow golf course, separated by a short stretch of ponderosa forest. It is well designed and has a great feel. We stayed for two weeks, and I would rent this house again.This is the upper corner of the ranch property, where houses are on large lots, there is little traffic coming and going of any kind. This has pluses. It is wonderfully quiet, also dark at night. A large group of deer were a daily presence, also a flock of turkeys. There were minor drawbacks for some (not all) of my family members. Since the land tilts up to the area, it's an uphill push by bicycle. For those who like to frequent the large Glaze or Lodge rec centers or walk/bike across the meadow, it's a long way. (A couple of us enjoyed the long bike ride.)There were two additional big pluses. The kitchen is unusually well equipped for a rental—not at all your Ikea special one plate and fork per guest set up. The upper glaze pool and racket courts are right across the road. These were never crowded.My interactions with Black Butte Realty, the managing host, were warm and helpful."

"The Great: Beautiful light & bright manufactured home, very pet friendly, comfortable master bed & couches, tv’s worked well, pretty much everything worked as it should. We lacked nothing!! There is every appliance you could imagine in the kitchen & coffee bar. Plenty of linens, games, and books! Wonderful! We felt at home. The good outweighed any issues we had. :0) The Challenges: The neighborhood is quiet ‘most’ of the time. There is nightly ATV riding by kids, lapping the neighbor’s house; they ride right next to the house wall for an hour or two, making dust. There is a low amount of neighborhood traffic, but very loud garbage truck blaring acid rock that shook the house on Wed morning, & speeding fedex & ups. There is no bathroom door in the main bedroom - not even a door in the toilet area. The washer did not spin with washing. You need to run the spin cycle after a regular cycle. There were a good amount of small insects inside the house, looked like a gnat or fruit fly infestation. They were in the bedroom at night as well. The Bad: All surface cleanliness was lacking- floors, corners, walls, cabinets. Bed cover & pillow shams were soiled. We found 2 per urine areas. Curtains soiled with organic matter. The master tub had pink slime mold on the drain. The yard, while nicely fenced, is stickers, dead weeds, and dead brush. The deck and deck chairs were webby & dirty, both front and back of house. We found many dog piles outside. 5/10 would be my rating."
