"Our family (2 daughters, 3 grandsons 8-23) had a super week on Varty Lake. The Cottage is very comfortable and the two rooms were good for young & older. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of supplies, towels etc. Having the canoe, kayak, paddleboat, two paddle boards was amazing and all were used and enjoyed. Biking along the roads & Cataraqui trail was great. Swimming was good. Games room was enjoyed by the younger boys/young men. Mo was excellent in communicating with us, before and during our stay....

"We absolutely loved our time at this cottage. The property was spacious and clean. View was absolutely breathtaking. We travelled with four adults and four children ranging from six to fourteen and a dog. We found the cottage clean and fully equipped. We loved the guests drinks in the fridge ready to welcome us. Bed linen and towels were well organized and clean. There were lots of games and movies for everyone to enjoy as well as an abundance of water equipment we all enjoyed all weekend....

"We stayed at Lowry Lakehouse for 12 nights with family and close friends and their kids (aged 3-8). Overall, we had a lovely experience and really liked the house. It was well prepared when we arrived. The rooms are nice and everything was clean. The lake is gorgeous and quiet. The house has fun equipment for the lake and playing around. Lastly, Micela was responsive when we needed to get in touch. "

"Simcoe island is quiet and beautiful. Lots of cows, deer, and different species of birds. Wolfe island has a corner store to stock up on basic supplies (drinkable water). The ferry ride from Kingston to Wolfe island can be a long wait, 1-2 hours. The beach on the property is limestone, make sure to wear water shoes to prevent slipping. Our kids had fun in the waves, which can get quite big when it’s windy. We really enjoyed big sandy beach on Wolfe island - $60 for a family - but well worth it....

"An amazing spot. Lots of bedrooms for everyone. Everything you need is there. There is even a convience store with firewood and take out restaurants 2 minutes away."

"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The kids loved fishing off the dock and watching the swans and their young. We only saw 2 towels out for our party of 7 but on the last day when doing my final check of the house to make sure we had everything, I checked in the drawers of the dressers that were in each room and did find extra towels and linens in there. It was too late for us but hopefully that will help the next group that rents the home :) The only other issue we had was the garbage. We...

"The cottage was easy to find and kept up nicely. The lake was calm and right by our door. There is a firepit and bbq to use. Paul the property manager was helpful and responsive. The cottage could use more basic amenities, such as baking trays, salt/pepper, coffee filters, broom, etc. The downsides were the oven not working properly, the canoe needed repair (seat was broken), there was only one smelly/dirty adult lifejacket, and the dock/beach could really use some upkeep."

"I'm almost hesitant to write this and give away a beautiful secret holiday place! 😉 My husband and I stayed a couple of nights this time, but we plan to be back! Gorgeous views, clean and comfortable bedrooms and cozy family areas with all the kitchen equipment etc needed. We loved taking the canoe out and watching the ducks (we are still looking forward to seeing the baby loon sometime!) Definitely would recommend this property highly"
