Wonderful stay with nice rooms.

The JP Emerald is an older hotel, but they did implement a remodeling program about 3 years ago, which has really improved the rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and wish to accommodate your stay. I'm just a one nighter coming and going from Bangkok to Savannakhet and this hotel is perfect for me. I really like getting up in the morning, having breakfast and hitting the road. JP Emerald makes that easy.

This was not the newest Hotel in the city. With that said I didn't expect it to be totally updated. It is a good place for the night. The rooms was clean, came with refrigerator which I didn't expect. I had booked two rooms and the TV wasn't working in one room. They quickly came fixed it. I ordered room service food was good too.

To attend the Rocket Festival, I made a reservation in March. This hotel is very convenient to walk to the street fair on Friday night and the parade on Saturday. (The Rocket Festival on Sunday is a little far and not walkable) I will make a reservation for next year soon!

I arrived the morning after my booking due to start because of late wedding organising commitments in ubon, the staff were very rude & said my room was not available even though I had paid, the room was dirty & a disgrace with insects even in the bed, I did not stay & found a proper hotel, even though I have paid for it, so unhappy.

What a waste of effort by the kitchen staff who go to a lot of effort to prepare good food for guests only to have their efforts wasted as all food dishes set out in the buffet were cold. Fried eggs were miserable looking, cold and covered in cold cooking oil. All the other nice looking Thai food items were also cold, including rice. Only one dish had a burner lit under it - porridge. All the rest was cold. What a waste of effort of the kitchen staff. We booked 4 rooms for 7 guests and all had the same comment about the food. We will not stay at this hotel again and suggest the hotel management take the time to correct the cold food issue, otherwise people will confined alternative hotel accommodation.

Hotel verouderd Goede locatie voor het festival.

Dit is de derde keer dat ik dit hotel boek voor het Ban Fai Festival, enkel vanwege de uitstekende locatie. Zonder die ligging zou ik hier niet verblijven. Het hotel is verouderd en heeft dringend renovaties nodig. In onze kamer lekte de badkamer onderaan. Desondanks heb ik volop genoten van het festival. Als ik volgend jaar het festival opnieuw aandoe zal ik waarschijnlijk dit hotel opnieuw boeken.

Etwas älteres Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber. Der Service nett. Einmal haben wir gefrühstückt. Es war Standart. Wir würden das Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthalt wieder nehmen.

Friendly staff but hotel is tired looking

We have stayed multiple times at The Emerald. Glad to see new drapes in the rooms. Had to move room due to lack of Wifi. 2nd room was better, but shower floor flooded. Need to clean out drains, probable clogged with hair. Bathroom grout dirty and can easily be cleaned ( both rooms! Breakfast was ok. Staff tried to please and were friendly, but they need to be given the tools to be able to do their jobs more efficiently. Hopefully things will get better upon our return this or next year

Ok stay. Property in need of renovations

Have stayed at The JP Emerald a few times in the past. Property was sold out with a convention. Friendly staff, room was average, needs renovations. Bed was hard. Breakfast cook to order was quite good. Overall ok.

Svunna tider

Stort hotell med konferens lokaler. Lite trött med inredning i rummen som är charmigt gammal, kan inte låta bli att få ett leende när man ser media centret för tv o audio. Hela hotellet ger en öststats känsla ifrån svunna tider, och då menar jag det positivt. Stora salar stora rum, till på köpet balkongen var stor. Mycket god mat.

The Emerald is a jewel in Yasothon

The staff at the JP Emerald were great. The room I was given had a plugged shower drain and they moved me to a different room. I really do not like the short chairs as compared to the high dressing mirror counter. I had to use the end table to put my laptop computer on to manage some email. The food was great, but they need to put some coffee in the room that does not have cream and sugar already added.

Okay hotel

Overall the hotel is clean and well maintained. The room was big and clean with some rather old furnishings. The staff was friendly and attentive. The bathroom design was cool, but poorly built, the water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor. The wifi was horrible on the 5th floor, they have zero overlap in their coverage of the wifi signal. It almost impossible to use.
