I had a wonderful stay staff was friendly room was very nice

The staff was fantastic, the facility is well located in the city, surrounded by fun Izakaya, and close to the public beach. I was surprised by the free drink after check-in, as well as the delicious bento breakfast in the morning. The onsen consistent up to Natural mineral baths, in a nice indoor and outdoor setting. I do wish it had a cold water bath, as well. The onsen was quite a long walk from the room, bur manageable. The staff spoke some simple english, but we're very helpful in Japanese...

Loved shrine next door, nearby National Park, and fishing out front.

It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there.

What a wonderful stay, this location is off the beaten path for foreigners but it is such a hidden gem. It had an onsen, free drinks within a time limit, restaurant on premise, a show by performers every night, a beautiful garden and yukatas to borrow. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Also while they do offer a shuttle, and bikes to rent, please make sure to inform them so they can be ready to take you/accomodare you. The onsens are amazing! The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The town seems to be off the beaten path for most western tourists and is that much more authentic for it.

What can I say about the STAFF and HOTEL (ryokan) experience that I had at the Tamatsukuri Choseikaku Grand Hotel?? All I can say was AMAZING. I arrived prior to the check-in time, as my train schedule was fairly rigid this day. The wonderful staff had no issues in storing my backpack in their storage area until the official time I could check in. This allowed me to explore the area of Tamatsukuri, which is a fabled, old, traditional onsen area of Northern Japan. It is well located...
