"The room was very comfortable and clean and my treatments at the spa were fabulous. Was disappointed in the initial service at reception and spa, however when we spoke with Caolan on reception on Saturday evening he was very understanding and tried to satisfy our upset. My issues were that on booking my treatments, we received confirmation but were not made aware that the spa was not included, otherwise we would have booked. When we got there, the receptionist and spa receptionist was quite abrupt. In addition we had to wait until 4pm for room to be serviced, which I had to chase numerous times. Eslam and Caolan made up for poor service received up until that point, as Caolan was straight onto this."

"Good location and easy to get into the centre of York. The hotel also has plenty of parking, which is a real plus. That said, charging nearly £20 to park overnight feels a little steep, especially when you’re already staying at the hotel. Overall a convenient base, but the parking price does take the shine off slightly."
