This cottage offers a stunning secluded break with uninterrupted views.

The wonderful Riverside Cottage, located within 12 acres of private land, offers a stunning secluded break with uninterrupted views across natural farmland. The cottage has been stylishly renovated to a high standard and boasts picturesque views across stunning Yorkshire farmland from every window. The South-facing sitting room features patio doors which open onto the delightful garden and an enclosed patio bringing the outside indoors, making al fresco dining an easy option and the perfect place to relax in tranquil surroundings.

Guests are welcome to walk the fields adjoining the property respectfully as sheep and lambs graze there. The patio is enclosed. A fence divides the garden from the fields but is not fully enclosed.

The riverbank area with its benches overlooking the river is available for guests to enjoy but care must be taken as the river may become deep and fast flowing at times. There is open access to water so children must be supervised at all times and ideally should be over the age of 5 and competent swimmers (in case of a fall). There is no separating wall between the benches and the riverbank which slopes gently into the water. However, there is a wall dividing the cottage from the river.

Swimming is prohibited as it disturbs the wildlife.

This was a trip for me, my brother, my sister and my daughter, all great friends - but all needing our own space! We loved the layout of the property and the number of bathrooms which gave us all a place to be together and space to be alone. Our host was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and the welcome hamper was the best we’ve had. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax, where you can put your bags down and enjoy the location, where there’s plenty to do locally, but also enough comfort that you’re happy to stay put some days - this is the place for you.
