"This was a local overnight stay. We live in the area, and wanted a 3 generation girl's night. Booking was easy enough, and information was accurate and helpful. Some comments on the property begin with the entrance. The sidewalk coming into the building looked very dirty, like it needs to be hosed off, or sealed. Bad first impression. I knew where the check-in desk is from a previous visit, but it is a distance from the entrance, and could use some better signage, and illuminated (currently kind of dark). Our room was on the top floor, and we enjoyed the view. There was some paint chipping on the ceiling, and we had a spider visit us. The ice bucket lid did not fit the bucket. Also the extra blanket for the pullout couch was dirty and all the blanket binding was frayed and falling off.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The bellhop was way too friendly. The pool was almost hot. And we were disappointed that the hot tub is permanently closed. There is a very nice area in the lobby where you can eat take out food. Wish there was coffee available in the lobby. Maybe add some ice and lemon to the water in the container in the lobby.
I debated staying here versus another nearby hotel that is comparable in amenities but provides a free breakfast. Breakfast at this hotel is not free - $18 for buffet."
