Great Yosemite Stay

Close to Glacier point Road inside Yosemite National Park. Quick access to Yosemite Valley compared to outside the park accommodations. The house is well equipped and comfortable. We prepared most meals at the house.

Very nice place inside the park. Owner thought of about every thing we may need, including flour for our sausage gravy, motion lights for going to restroom at night ,Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. Comfortable livingroom furniture . Couch was used to sleep on by my nephew, no complaints. Yosemite is great, if prone to car sickness need to ride up front. Enjoy!windeDo take note

Wonderful Experience

The property and Bill the owner were excellent. The cabin was as advertised. It was clean and well maintained. Bill was very helpful to us and even provided additional equipment and advice for our trip. Some recommended adds for the future would be a steamer cauldron and an upgraded grill. Even without these amenities, the stay was a great experience. I have already recommended this property to some of my friends and colleagues.

Wonderful Cabin in Yosemite West

We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. Clean, modern amenities with plenty of room for the 6 of us. The new Samsung gas range was a pleasure to cook on! Plenty of supplies throughout the kitchen and bathrooms and hundreds of movies to choose from. There was no cable tv though, only dvd's. Wi-fi was just ok. No cell service for ATT in Yosemite West, Verizon yes. There was no fireplace but the central heating worked well. Fantastic views out of nearly all the rooms with nice large floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining area. The host was fantastic in every respect. Prompt communication, call backs, road condition updates, you name it, he was on the spot! He lives beneath the cabin (duplex) which was comforting in case we needed anything. We had a bit of foul weather so it was nice knowing he was there in case of an emergency. The cabin is located at the very very end of the road in YW so be prepared for that. Overall, great experience and value. Thank you.

Awesome Location and Experience

We stayed at Bill’s property in June 2020 for a 4 day visit to Yosemite National Park, arriving the day the park reopened after COVID-19 closure. We had heard from other Airbnb managers that they could not accept visitors until the day following or arrival date, so Bill asked around for more information to confirm that we would in fact be able to arrive as planned. He was prompt with all interactions and provided thorough answers to all of questions and made it such an easy experience. Bill lives below the property but he informed us that sound wouldn’t be an issue for him. We used his awesome home theater system and watched DVDs at night when we returned from hiking. The house is tucked away in the back of Yosemite West, and we enjoyed seeing no homes beyond the house when looking off the back deck, just open wilderness. Be prepared to not have WiFi as this community, like most in the mountains, doesn’t have high speed Internet. They have satellite WiFi, or “mountain WiFi”, which can give you access to use email. Don’t expect much else. Our only complaint was that the water heater didn’t work on some occasions when trying to shower. Bill informed us that this was due to it being a glitch of sorts, where the heater doesn’t recognize the hot water request. The simple fix was turning water off and then back on—easy enough. All in all a wonderful stay situated just 15 minutes from Tunnel View, 30 minutes from the valley, and 45 minutes from Glacier Point. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Bill!

Perfect for Yosemite

The location of the property was amazing. As first timers in Yosemite, it was so awesome to be staying inside the park, yet still have all the amenities of home. If staying/traveling with non-campers, this made it such a great visit!The house is very clean, plenty spacious, and is equipped with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the AWESOME dvd collection, which was perfect for decompressing with family after a long day in the park. The house was great, the host was tremendous, the location was perfect and overall made this one of the best national park visits we've had yet!

Best stocked VRBO and easy checkout

This was an incredibly well stocked VRBO. Since we were inside Yosemite National Park where there is very limited places to stock up, it was an added bonus. Lots of paper goods, detergents, even coffee filters!They had lots of plates, cutlery, good knife set, coffee cups and glassware. We were 4 adults, and there was 8 of everything. What a treat.Check out was minimal, just having to load and start the dishwasher.Would definitely recommend.

If you want to spend your vacation in Yosemit NP you need to look here. We passed thru park gates, showed our reservation confirmation, and never left the park the week we were there. i was worried about the early heatwave and no AC, but the house stayed cook with ceiling fans and opened windows at night. It was the perfect vacation.

Great access to Glacier Point Road

My wife and I spent two nights in this large home, which is reasonably well equipped. There is no AC, but it was not needed, at least not in late May.Our primary reason for staying in Yosemite West was for the quick access to Glacier Point Road, which begins just 10 minutes away by car. Definitely lets you get a jump on the crowds there. And the Valley is relatively close, too (about 35 minutes with no traffic), if you want to base yourself in Yosemite West.

Quite House w/ Great Yosemite Access

Loved the Yosemite West location, the view at the end of the road, and a comfortable house. While not flashy, it is quite comfortable. Location! Location! Location!

Due to a family emergency we were going to have to cancel our two weeks that we booked with Bill and lose our payment. However, we reached out to Bill and asked if he would be open to us rebooking for two weeks at a later date and he was very agreeable. This was very generous of him.This location was perfect for all our hiking and snowshoeing expeditions. Accommodations were comfortable and we would recommend others to stay here.

A GREAT STAY!

Weekend getaway

My family and I had a blast! This place was spacious and clean and the perfect location being a short drive down to the valley. My girls (12, 12, and 5 years old) enjoyed the area around the cabin exploring and building snowmen. The owner was super friendly and communicative. Highly recommend! I hope to come back again!
