"I paid a non-refundable charge for a room in this motel. I had had a wonderful experience at a Studio 6 in Buttonwillow, so it was a shock to see the area around this Studio 6 -- the area was rundown, dirty, and unsafe. The lobby door was licked to keep the street people out. The exterior of the motel was dirty and in bad repair. There were people sitting on the stairs outside. Although the room looked okay, a puddle of something on the floor inside the door was the last straw. I did not feel safe and immediately returned to the office and checked out. I didn't expect or get a refund, but I did report the situation to Expedia. The room was overpriced, but I took the hit and left. The desk clerk was nice enough. I felt sorry that he had to work at that dump."

"Our stay at the Pinc Lady was perfect! The Victorian house is amazing! Our bedroom was huge and had an incredibly comfortable bed. Our hostess, J., was very helpful with where to go for dinner and the history of the house and area. We walked to the old town part of Eureka and there was an arts festival happening. What a cool town. We will be back,"

"The place was nice, with very secure parking - be sure to go around to the side with the entrance (on the 101 South), check in first, and then you'll get the code to the parking lot! Breakfast was good, and the room was very comfortable."

"The room was relatively clean, the parking lot was surrounded by chain link fence and no one was at the front desk when I arrived and not when I left. The motel took my credit card for a potential $200 charge for damages. My room was on the outside of the property and the double pane window had been smashed up from the outside. The inside pane was intact. There was no one available to report it to."

Our overnight stay was not simply comfortable, but enjoyable which was an unexpected pleasure for an overnight stay on the road. We highly recommend.
